Lawrence L. Shenfield
Lawrence Lewis Shenfield was an important advertising executive and philatelist.
Background and Business Career
Mr. Shenfield was born on October 10, 1891 in Brooklyn, New York.[1] He graduated from Columbia University in New York City and served in the U.S. Army during World War I, having undergone artillery training in Plattsburg, New York.<ref>http://www.newrivernotes.com/ww1/plattsburg.htm<ref> After the war, Mr. Shenfield worked in advertising in New York.
Philatelic Career
Shenfield was a prominent expert, collector and writer on philately of the U.S. Civil War and [Confederate States of America]].
