Indian Police Force is an Indian Hindi-language police procedural action thriller streaming series on Amazon Prime Video.[1] The series is created and directed by Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash.[2] Produced by Rohit Shetty under the banner of Rohit Shetty Picturez and Reliance Entertainment. This series stars Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Vivek Oberoi.[3] The series is set in Shetty's fictional Cop Universe.

Synopsis

DCP Kabir Malik and his senior officer Joint CP Vikram Bakshi goes on to investigate a series of bomb blasts in Delhi, with the help of Gujarat ATS Chief Tara Shetty. They find that the culprit is Zarar, an Al-Mujahideen terrorist, and sets out to arrest him.

Production

Casting

Sidharth Malhotra[10] was cast as the lead, and was joined by Shilpa Shetty,[11] Shweta Tiwari, Vivek Oberoi[12] and Nikitin Dheer.[13]

Development

The series was announced by Rohit Shetty in April 2022.[14] The first look teaser featuring Sidharth Malhotra were unveiled in April 2022 on Amazon Prime Video.[15]

Shilpa, Sidharth and Rohit were spotted at the Mumbai Airport before leaving for Goa, Maharashtra on 9 May 2022.[16][17]

Filming

The series were primarily shot in Mumbai, Maharashtra, Goa, Greater Noida.[18] The principal photography of the series started in mid-April 2022.[19] The first schedule kickstarted in Goa from 12 May[20] ended in May 2022[21] before Shetty left for Cape Town to shoot Khatron Ke Khiladi 12.[22]

Release

On 18 April 2022, Amazon Prime Video announced the series officially, with a first look and teaser being released.[23] The series released a day ahead of its original date, on 18 January 2024.[24]
