Oswald Bruno Nazareth

Oswin Bruno Nazareth was a Pakistani high school teacher. He was educated at St Patrick's High School, Karachi. Straight out of school he decided to be a teacher and joined the staff of his Alma Mater.

A keen sportsman, he drafted the constitution of the Pakistan Hockey Federation and was the first Secretary of PHF.

In 1948, O.B. Nazareth was Assistant Manager representing the Pakistan Hockey team at the London Olympics. [1]

Nazareth taught some distinguished students such as Indian BJP President L.K. Advani, [2] former prime minister Muhammad Khan Junejo and chief of the Army Staff Jehangir Karamat. During 50 years of service as a teacher in St. Patrick's High School, his students included cardinals, archbishops, bishops, priests, prime ministers, federal & provincial ministers, chief justices, judges of the supreme and high courts, chiefs of the armed forces, industrialists, and sportsmen. He died in Karachi in July 1998.
