Below is a partial list of Minor League Baseball players in the New York Yankees system.

Joshua Breaux (born October 7, 1997) is an American professional baseball catcher in the New York Yankees organization.

Breaux attended Tomball High School in Tomball, Texas and played college baseball at McLennan Community College.[1] In 2017, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Falmouth Commodores of the Cape Cod Baseball League.[2] Breaux was drafted by the Houston Astros in the 36th round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft but did not sign and returned to McLennan. The next year he was drafted by the New York Yankees in the second round of the 2018 MLB draft.[3]

Breaux made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Yankees before being promoted to the Staten Island Yankees.[4] He played 2019 with the Charleston RiverDogs.[5] He did not play for a minor league team during the 2020 because the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but did play five games in the Constellation Energy League.[6] Breaux started 2021 with the Hudson Valley Renegades before being promoted to the Somerset Patriots.[7][8]

Braden James Bristo (born November 1, 1994) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the New York Yankees organization.

Bristo attended Ouachita Christian High School in Monroe, Louisiana and played college baseball at Louisiana Tech University. He was drafted by the New York Yankees in the twenty third round of the 2016 Major League Baseball draft.[9][10][11] Bristo spent his first professional season with the Pulaski Yankees in 2016. He pitched 2017 with the Charleston RiverDogs and the Staten Island Yankees. He spent 2018 between Charleston and the Tampa Tarpons and 2019 with Tampa and the Trenton Thunder.[12] He did not play a minor league game in 2020 since the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He started 2021 with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.[13]

Oswaldo Alberto Cabrera (born March 1, 1999) is a Venezuelan professional baseball shortstop in the New York Yankees organization.

Cabrera is from Guarenas in Venezuela. He signed with the Yankees as a free agent when he was 16 years old.[14] Cabrera was named the Double-A Northeast's most valuable player after the 2021 season.[15] The Yankees added him to their 40-man roster, protecting him from being eligible to be selected in the Rule 5 draft.[16] The Yankees optioned Cabrera to the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders for the start of the 2022 season.[17]

Carson Cavanagh Coleman (born April 7, 1998) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the New York Yankees organization.

Coleman attended Lexington Catholic High School in Lexington, Kentucky and played college baseball at the University of Kentucky. He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 33rd round of the 2019 Major League Baseball Draft, but did not sign and returned to Kentucky for another season.[18] He signed with the New York Yankees as an undrafted free agent after he was not selected in the 2020 Major League Baseball draft, which was shortened because of the Covid-19 pandemic.[19][20]

Coleman made his professional debut in 2021 with the Tampa Tarpons. He started 2022 with the Hudson Valley Renegades before being promoted to the Somerset Patriots.

Elijah Zechariah Dunham (born May 29, 1998) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the New York Yankees organization.

Dunham attended FJ Reitz High School in Evansville, Indiana and played college baseball at Indiana University. As a sophomore at Indiana in 2019, he batted .310 with eight home runs, 29 RBIs, and 44 runs scored over 43 games.[21] After the season, he was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 40th round of the 2019 Major League Baseball draft but did not sign.[22][23] He started all 15 games as a junior in which he batted .390 before the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[24] He went unselected in the shortened 2020 Major League Baseball draft, and signed with the New York Yankees as an undrafted free agent.[25][26][27]

Dunham made his professional debut in 2021 with the Tampa Tarpons of the Low-A Southeast and was promoted to the Hudson Valley Renegades of the High-A East in June.[28] Over 93 games between the two clubs, Dunham slashed .263/.362/.463 with 13 home runs, 57 RBIs, 25 doubles and 28 stolen bases.[29] Following the season's end, he was selected to play in the Arizona Fall League (AFL) for the Surprise Saguaros where he was named to the Fall Stars game.[30][31] Dunham ended the AFL hitting .357/.465/.571 with two home runs and 11 stolen bases over 23 games, earning himself the Breakout Player of the Year award.[32] To begin the 2022 season, he was assigned to the Somerset Patriots of the Double-A Eastern League.[33]

Yoendrys Adrian Gómez (born October 15, 1999) is a Venezuelan professional baseball pitcher in the New York Yankees organization.

Gómez signed with the New York Yankees organization as an international free agent on July 2, 2016.[34] Gómez played his first professional season the following year, splitting the season between the Dominican Summer League Yankees and the GCL Yankees, pitching to a cumulative 0–3 record and 5.40 ERA in 11 games between the two teams. In 2018, Gómez returned to the two teams, recording a 4–1 record and 2.08 ERA in 12 appearances. In 2019, Gómez split the season between the rookie-level Pulaski Yankees and the Single-A Charleston RiverDogs, posting a 4–5 record and 3.99 ERA with 53 strikeouts in 56.1 innings of work.[35] He did not play a minor league game in 2020 since the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[36] The Yankees added him to their 40-man roster after the 2020 season[37] Gómez was assigned to the Single-A Tampa Tarpons to begin the 2021 season.

Justin Craig Lange (born September 11, 2001) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the New York Yankees organization.

Lange attended Llano High School in Llano, Texas, where he played baseball.[38][39] He committed to play college baseball at Dallas Baptist University.[40] Lange was selected by the San Diego Padres with the 34th overall pick in the 2020 Major League Baseball draft.[41][42] Lange signed with the Padres on June 24 for a $2 million bonus.[43]

Lange did not play a minor league game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.[44] He made his professional debut in 2021 with the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League Padres.[45] Over nine starts, he pitched to a 0–3 record, a 6.95 ERA, 29 strikeouts, and 15 walks over 22 innings.[46]

On March 18, 2022, the Padres traded Lange to the New York Yankees for Luke Voit.[47]


Brandon Lockridge

Brandon Marcus Lockridge (born March 14, 1997) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the New York Yankees organization.

Lockridge attended Pensacola Catholic High School in Pensacola, Florida and played college baseball at Troy University. In 2017, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League.[48] He was drafted by the New York Yankees in the fifth round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft.[49][50]

Lockridge made his professional debut with the Gulf Coast Yankees before being promoted to the Staten Island Yankees. He played 2019 with the Charleston RiverDogs.[51] He did not play for a minor league team during the 2020 because the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[52] Lockridge started 2021 with the Hudson Valley Renegades before being promoted to the Somerset Patriots.[53]


Everson Pereira

Everson Jose Pereira (born April 10, 2001) is a Venezuelan professional baseball outfielder in the New York Yankees organization.

Pereira signed with the New York Yankees as an international free agent in July 2017. After the 2021 season, the Yankees added him to their 40-man roster.[54]


Blake Perkins

Blake Alexander Perkins (born September 10, 1996) is an American professional baseball outfielder in the New York Yankees organization.

The Washington Nationals drafted Perkins in the second round of the 2015 Major League Baseball draft out of Verrado High School in Buckeye, Arizona. He was the 69th overall selection.[55] Although an Arizona State University Sun Devils commit, Perkins chose to sign with the Nationals for an $800,000 bonus.[56]

After signing, Perkins made his professional debut with the GCL Nationals where he hit .211 with one home run and 12 RBIs in 49 games. He spent a majority of 2016 with the Auburn Doubledays, slashing .233/.318/.281 with one home run, 16 RBIs, and ten stolen bases in 59 games. He also played in seven games for the Hagerstown Suns at the end of the season.[57] In 2017, Perkins was Hagerstown's starting center fielder and usual leadoff hitter, sharing an outfield with the likes of top Nationals prospects Juan Soto and Daniel Johnson.[58]

Perkins was ranked by MLB Pipeline as the Nationals' 11th-best prospect entering the 2018 season, in which he started the year with the Potomac Nationals.[59] After batting .234 with one home run, 21 RBIs, and 12 stolen bases through 65 games at the new level,[60] during the Carolina League All-Star Break, Perkins was traded to the Kansas City Royals as part of a prospect package for Royals reliever Kelvin Herrera on June 18, 2018.[61] He was assigned to the Wilmington Blue Rocks. In 64 games for the Blue Rocks, he batted .240 with two home runs, 18 RBIs, and 17 stolen bases.[57] He returned to the Blue Rocks to begin 2019 and was promoted to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals in August. Over 122 games between both teams, he hit .224/.330/.347 with eight home runs, 34 RBIs, and 22 stolen bases. He did not play a minor league game in 2020 since the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

On December 16, 2021, Perkins signed a minor league contract with the New York Yankees.[62]



Jeisson Rosario

Jeisson Antonio Rosario (born October 22, 1999) is a Dominican professional baseball center fielder in the New York Yankees organization. Listed at 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 m) and 191 pounds (87 kg), he bats and throws left-handed.

Rosario signed with the San Diego Padres as an international free agent in July 2016.[63] He made his professional debut in 2017 with the rookie-level Arizona League Padres, batting .299 with one home run and 24 RBIs in 52 games.[64] In 2018, he played for the Class A Fort Wayne TinCaps, appearing in 117 games while compiling a .271 average with three home runs and 34 RBIs.[64] In 2019, Rosario played 120 games for the Class A-Advanced Lake Elsinore Storm, batting .242 with three home runs and 35 RBIs.[64]

On August 30, 2020, Rosario and infielder Hudson Potts were traded to the Boston Red Sox in exchange for Mitch Moreland.[63] Although he did not play during 2020 due to cancellation of the minor league season, Rosario was invited to participate in the Red Sox' fall instructional league.[63] On November 20, 2020, he was added to the 40-man roster.[65] Rosario spent the 2021 season in Double-A with the Portland Sea Dogs, appearing in 98 games while batting .232 with three home runs and 36 RBIs.[63] He played in the Dominican Professional Baseball League (LIDOM) during the offseason.[66]

On March 23, 2022, Rosario was designated for assignment by the Red Sox following the signing of Trevor Story.[67]

On March 26, 2022, Rosario was claimed off of waivers by the New York Yankees. He was then optioned to the Double-A Somerset Patriots.[68] He was designated for assignment on April 6, 2022.

Matt Sauer

Matthew David Sauer (born January 21, 1999) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the New York Yankees organization.

Sauer attended Righetti High School in Santa Maria, California.[69][70][71] As a senior, he went 9–1 with a 0.98 earned run average (ERA) and 142 strikeouts.[72] He committed to the University of Arizona to play college baseball.[73] Sauer was drafted by the New York Yankees in the second round of the 2017 Major League Baseball draft.[74][75]

Sauer officially signed with the Yankees on June 24.[76] and was assigned to the Gulf Coast League Yankees, where he spent the whole 2017 season, posting an 0–2 record with a 5.40 ERA in 11+23 innings pitched.[77] In 2018, he pitched with the Staten Island Yankees where he went 3–6 with a 3.90 ERA in 13 starts and 67 innings.[78]

Sauer spent 2019 with the Charleston RiverDogs, but pitched only 8+23 innings due to injury.[79] He did not play a minor league game in 2020 since the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[80] Sauer split the 2021 season between the Tampa Tarpons and the Hudson Valley Renegades, appearing in 23 games (21 starts) and going 5-6 with a 4.69 ERA and 127 strikeouts over 111+13 innings.[81]

Randy Marcelino Vásquez (born November 3, 1998) is a Dominican professional baseball pitcher in the New York Yankees organization.

Vásquez signed with the New York Yankees as an international free agent in May 2018.[82] He spent his first professional season with the Dominican Summer League Yankees and Gulf Coast Yankees. He spent 2019 with the Pulaski Yankees.

Vásquez did not play in 2020 due to the Minor League Baseball season being cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2021 he pitched for the Tampa Tarpons, Hudson Valley Renegades and Somerset Patriots. He started 2022 with Somerset.[83]

Willian Harper Warren (born June 16, 1999) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees organization.

Warren is from Brandon, Mississippi.[84] He attended Jackson Preparatory School in Flowood, Mississippi, graduating in 2017, and Southeastern Louisiana University, where he played college baseball for the Southeastern Louisiana Lions. The New York Yankees selected Warren in the eighth round, with the 243rd overall selection, of the 2021 MLB draft.[85][86] He made his professional debut in 2022 with the Hudson Valley Renegades of the High-A South Atlantic League.[87][88] He had a 3.60 earned run average and 42 strikeouts in 35 innings pitched before the Yankees promoted him to the Somerset Patriots of the Double-A Eastern League in May.[89]

Beck Michael Way (born August 6, 1999) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the New York Yankees organization.

Way attended Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania and played college baseball at Belmont Abbey College and Northwest Florida State College.[90] In 2019, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Cotuit Kettleers of the Cape Cod Baseball League.[91] He was drafted by the New York Yankees in the fourth round of the 2020 Major League Baseball draft.[92]

Way played his first professional season in 2021 with the Tampa Tarpons and Hudson Valley Renegades.[93][94] He started 2022 with Hudson Valley.


Greg Weissert

Gregory R. Weissert (born February 4, 1995) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the New York Yankees organization.

Weissert grew up in Bay Shore, New York and attended Bay Shore High School. He was an All-County selection in both baseball and volleyball.[95] Weissert attended Fordham University, where he played college baseball for the Fordham Rams for three seasons. As a junior, he went 5–4 with a 4.04 ERA and 82 strikeouts over 14 starts.[96]

Weissert was selected in the 18th round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the New York Yankees.[97] After signing with the team he was assigned to the Pulaski Yankees before earning a promotion to the Class A Charleston RiverDogs. Weissert spent the 2017 season with the Class A Short Season Staten Island Yankees.[98] He returned to Charleston for the beginning of the 2018 season before earning a promotion to the Tampa Tarpons of the Class A-Advanced Florida State League after striking out 50 batters with a 2.62 ERA over 34+13 innings.[99] Weissert started the 2019 season with the Tarpons and was promoted to the Double-A Trenton Thunder, where we posted a 1.88 ERA over 14 relief appearances and was eventually promoted to the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders for the team's postseason.[95] Baseball America rated Weissert as having the best slider in the Yankees' minor league system going into the 2021 season.[100] After starting the year with the Yankees' new Double-A affiliate, the Somerset Patriots, Weissert was promoted to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after posting a 0.71 ERA in 12+23 innings pitched over 12 appearances.[101]


Hayden Wesneski

Hayden Gregory Wesneski (born December 5, 1997) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the New York Yankees organization.

Wesneski attended Cy-Fair High School in Cypress, Texas. He played for the school's baseball team, and had a 25–9 win–loss record and a 3.56 earned run average (ERA). He graduated in 2016. The Tampa Bay Rays selected Wesneski in the 33rd round of the 2016 MLB draft,[102] but he instead enrolled at Sam Houston State University to play college baseball for the Sam Houston State Bearkats.[103]

The Yankees selected Wesneski in the sixth round of the 2019 Major League Baseball draft.[104][105] He played for the Pulaski Yankees after he signed, going 1-1 with a 4.76 ERA over 28+13 innings. He began the 2021 season with the Hudson Valley Renegades and was promoted to the Somerset Patriots and the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders during the season.[102] Over 25 games (24 starts) between the three teams, he went 11-6 with a 3.25 ERA and 151 strikeouts over 130+13 innings.[106][107] Wesnewski returned to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre in 2022.[108]
