Michael H. Watson (born 1956) is a United States federal judge.
Watson was born in Akron, Ohio. He received a B.A. from Ohio State University in 1983. He received a J.D. from Capital University School of Law in 1987. He was a United States Air Force from 1975 to 1978. He was an Ohio Air National Guard from 1978 to 1984. He was a Bailiff/law clerk, Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Ohio from 1983 to 1988. He was in private practice of law in Ohio from 1988 to 1991. He was a Chief legal counsel, Ohio Department of Commerce from 1991 to 1992. He was a Deputy chief legal counsel, State of Ohio Governor's Office from 1992 to 1994. He was a Chief legal counsel, State of Ohio Governor's Office from 1994 to 1995. He was a judge to the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Ohio from 1996 to 2003. He was a judge to the Tenth District Court of Appeals, Ohio from 2003 to 2004.
Watson was a federal judge to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. Watson was nominated by President George W. Bush on April 6, 2004, to a seat vacated by James L. Graham. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on September 7, 2004, and received commission on September 10, 2004.
