Miss World 2018 will be the 68th edition of Miss World pageant which will be held in November 2018. Manushi Chhillar of India will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Venue to host the pageant is not yet confirmed but a discussion is in progress to host the 68th edition of Miss World in Manila, Philippines[1].

Background

According to a report from the TV Patrol, the Miss World Organisation is planning to host the pageant in the Philippines as the country has never hosted the kind pageant while the country took the venue for three Miss Universe pageant[2].

in 2014, Miss World 2013, Megan Young from Philippines along with Cory Quirino, former National Director of Miss World Philippines had a discussion with Vice President of the Philippines, Jejomar Binay to host the Miss World 2014 pageant in the country but, the government of Philippines disapproved the request[3].
