On 22 March 2017, at approximately 4:30 a.m, a series of bomb blasts occurred in three locations in the Muna Garage area of Maiduguri, Nigeria.[1][2] The blasts occurred at the Muna Garage Internally-Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp.[3]
The attacks, which were unleashed by five people at different locations, resulted in the deaths of at least 8 people and injured 20 people.[1] Among the dead were four suspected bombers and four Nigerian IDPs.[3]
No terrorist group immediately claimed responsibility for the explosions, but terror group Boko Haram may be responsible for the attack as Maiduguri has been attacked by Boko Haram previously.[4]
