Stephen George, known as Stephen JI, is an Indian politician From Kerala Congress (Mani). He is the current Kerala State General Secretary (Office in charge) since 2022.and now he is a Chairman of Kerala state Minority Development Financial Corporation (KMDFC),and Chairman of Knanaya Multi State Co-operative Credit Society Ltd in Kottayam. He was previously served as the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Kaduthuruthy in Kottayam Districts 2001. a splinter faction of Kerala Congress (Mani) At now taking active role in organizing political discussions and participating channel debates.[[3]]

He was born to George Cheriyan and Naithy Cheriyan. His spouse Jijimol G Stephen and three children. The family is purely agriculturist.
Political career
He became the Member of KC(M) In 1979. Then He was founding member of KSC, the youth organization associated with (Kerala Congress (Mani). Career started with Unit President of KSC and Sargavedhi State convener. In 1989 - He became State Secretary of KSC In 1990 - He became State President of KSC In 1995 - Elected as a District panchayat member in Kottayam District panchayat majority of 5000 votes.In 2000 - again elected with Vise president of kotayam District panchayat in the margin of 10000 votes. In 2001 - Elected as the member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) in Kaduthuruthy legislative assembly Kottayam District.
