The Ghost and The House Of Truth is a 2019 movie produced by Ego Boyo,[1] directed by Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Award and Africa Movie Academy Award Winner, Akin Omotoso.[2][3][4][5] It was released under the production studios' of Temple Productions Slate,1 Films and The Mission Entertainment[6] The movie stars Toyin Oshinaike, Kate Henshaw, Susan Wokoma, Mario Obruthe,  Imoleayo Olusanya and Dara Egerton-Shyngle. [1][7]  

Synopsis

The movie revolves around a counselor who advised people to let go of the past and live for the present and the future. However, she was put to test of his words and believes when her daughter was murdered. [8]

Premiere

Globally, the movie was first premiere on September 20, 2019 at the Urban World Film Festival, EMC Empire Theater 12, New York, United Sates of America. [1] Regionally, it was on  November 15, 2019 at the Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) [7] The movie was screened nationwide on the 22 of November 2019.  [7] A year after,  the movie was premiered by Showmax [7]

Awards and Nominations

The Ghost and the House of Truth got three awards at the 2019 annual Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) in three different categories which are; Best Director, Best Actress and Best Nigerian Film.[9][4]
