The use of nicknames in the lead section of a Wikipedia article is generally discouraged as it goes against Wikipedia's policy of maintaining a neutral point of view. Nicknames are often subjective and can vary across cultures and regions, and their use in the lead section may create a bias or suggest a level of familiarity that may not be appropriate for an encyclopedia.Furthermore, the lead section should identify the subject by their most commonly recognized name or title, as this is what readers are likely to search for. Using a nickname may cause confusion for readers who are not familiar with the subject, especially if the nickname is not widely known or used outside of a particular group or region.
I am of the opinion that Tendulkar's nicknames should be excluded from the lead section and restricted to his information box. However, I would appreciate other viewpoints regarding this matter, as I remain unsure about whether to remove them or not. ✨Ashish Legend✨04:21, 26 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There seem to be a whole lot of good quality pictures of Sachin Tendulkar that aren't copyright restricted. The picture in current use seems choppy and low quality, should it be changed? Nasadiyaaaa (talk) 14:13, 18 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
