The citation on the statistic that “More than 87% of people who receive the vaccine develop immunity” appears to be misleading after reading the cited paper. The paper states that all participants had a reaction to the vaccine and zero cases were reported of the vaccinated population, but that actual immunity wasn’t directly tested. The 87% figure seems to come from a titer measurement, not an immunity measurement. It seems likely that the vaccine is much more effective than this statistic would hint at, giving the “more than” phrase a lot of carrying weight.
