Need more templates

This is not a good general purpose biography article template (if such a thing even exists). Maybe there should be several templates, tailored to different types of subjects? WCCasey (talk) 22:46, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Recent edits to docpage

It looks as though over the past couple of weeks, an editor has replaced Template:Biography/doc with an actual biography (possibly their own, judging by their username). I'm guessing the docpage should probably be reverted to its original state, but I wasn't sure what should happen to the current content - should it just be deleted, or userfied, or something else. Published Works

Use of Charles Darwin as an example for this section has caused some disagreements and misunderstandings as to what kind of information should be included in a "Published Works" section (see Talk:Jane Philpott ). Darwin is somewhat exceptional and it may not be appropriate to apply that example to other types of subjects. Other possible examples could be Chrystia Freeland or (for a more extensive example) Jane Francis. I propose adding these examples to show the variety of published works descriptions and formats that might be included in such a section. It might be beneficial if other editors could suggest additional examples of good practice in this area. If there are no alternatives or objections in the next week I will add these examples myself.

Hello Shaharaal, you do not need to use this template at all, but you can write {{subst:Biography}} in your sandbox. You can also write a draft using the Wikipedia:Article wizard but first you will have to read over this document carefully: Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.  Not done: This talk page is for requesting changes to this template only. If you want to create a new article, please see Help:Your first article - but I strongly advise you not to create an article about yourself. It's very, very difficult to create an autobiography and still comply with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Einige weniger bekannte Fakten über Singga Singga ist eine Sängerin und Texterin, die hauptsächlich in der Punjabi-Musikindustrie arbeitet. Die Inspiration zum Schreiben erhielt er von seinem Vater. Während seines Studiums an einem College veröffentlichte Singga mit Hilfe seiner College-Freunde sein erstes Lied. Er sang und schrieb viele Punjabi-Songs wie "Jatt Di Clip 2", "Brotherhood", "Badnam" usw. Singga trat in die Augen der Medien und der Öffentlichkeit, nachdem er in dem Song "Brotherhood" (Mankirat Aulakh) mitgewirkt hatte. Berichten zufolge wurde er in einem Diebstahlsfall angeklagt. Singga ist mit Mankirt Aulakh gut befreundet.
