Who the Hell is Ishmael?

Come one, come all, and marvel at my amazing Wikipedia page. They call me Ishmael. I'm just a regular, everyday, normal guy. I attend a semi-notable university in southern Georgia. I'm an accomplished poet and songwriter. My interests seem to vary from day to day, but I've always had a passion for creative writing. I'm currently majoring in clinical psychology. I love helping people with life problems, so I figured it would be a good idea to get paid for it. I was always told to do what I love and if that doesn't work to do what I'm good at. There is an aura of indifference about me. I take life as it comes, and handle most drama with as much grace as I feel is suitable to the occasion. I'm a musically inclined individual to say the least, or the most. In order of my skill: tenor saxophone, alto saxophone, bass guitar, electric guitar. I am also skilled in false chord and fry vocals. What are false chord and fry vocals, you ask? They are two different styles of screaming used in the heaviest sub-genres of metal. Yeah, I'm a fan. My taste in music resembles my taste in just about everything, varied. I have recently become a slave to big tobacco. I smoke Marlboro's, the cowboy killers. I like taking long walks in the wee hours of the morning, and I'm pretty good at making paper planes.

Oh God, What Have I Done?

Since my recent birth into the world of Wikipedia, I have done as much as my Comp 1101 teacher has requested that I do. I have a few small edits and an original page under my belt. Suffice to say, my belt is a light one. The crown jewel of my achievements is the Yamacraw Bluff page. The bluff itself is not very interesting. Trust me, I've been there. Though, the historical value it holds is nigh magnificent.

"You Can Do What With a Computer?"

My relationship with technology is one you would associate with being a young man in college. I'm attached to my cell phone at the hip (literally), I'm an admitted Facebook addict, and I believe all my problems can be solved with a Google search. From there I know not where to go. Well maybe Best Buy, but I'm a starving college student, money is in short supply. I'm familiar with most office style software. Things like Microsoft Word come easy to me. I have dabbled in the dark side of free internet downloading, but I prefer to support the artists I enjoy listening to by buying the albums. I'm a little more in-the-know with fast growing internet trends than most of my friends and cohorts. I have a better reputation than I should with my friends for solving minor problems that occur with their computers. Most of my limited tech-savvy comes from guys in India helping me when my internet was down over the Comcast helpdesk. Knowledge is knowledge I suppose.

In My Limited Opinion

Wikipedia would be a better place if the self-proclaimed "moderators" and the over-the-top users wouldn't be so quick to jump the gun on deleting new pages. Especially those created by new users. Instead of slaying every new page that isn't notable at a glance, they should really inspect articles carefully and help were it is needed. In reality, uploading a new article is much like standing in front of a firing squad, all of the members being blind, and getting shot at. You may survive, but then again, you may not. But, I have not seen all there is to see in this new world, so don't take my meek opinion at any value more than my ignorance should give it.

Can You Understand the Words That Are Coming Out of My Mouth?

Chances are you probably can. I'm only fluent in English. Though I do know enough French to hit on American women who don't know much French. I also know enough Spanish to inaccurately count to ten. I will be taking German next semester, so change in this field is a possibility.
