Hi TheCajunPhoenix,

This isn't a huge deal, but I figured I'd let you know since you're a newish editor - from these changes, in general, don't mess with punctuation in quotations. You changed the punctuation in the quote from 2 Maccabees, but this was sourced to a specific translation. It's okay if you're quoting in-line and changing a closing period to a comma or the like because the sentence continues, but that's the exception, not the rule.

Less important but some of your changes also changed the sense of the sentence in a bad way. It's true that Polybius is "one of the highest-quality sources of the time period", but he's also the highest-quality source on it as well. i.e. there wasn't some later Roman historian 200 years later who provided even better information.
