Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Anderson High School (Texas). Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Meters (talk) 00:47, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Meyers, my edit was not vandalism. That was the acting principal at the time. Trulyy (talk) 18:56, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your ping did not work. Please read WP:PING. And my user name is not "Meyers".
As for your claim that claim that someone named "Cranjis Cream III" is the principal [1], I'll happily remove the warning if you can prove your claim, but I have a hard time believing that is a real name, and I'm not going to hold my breath. You previously added "Brian Lancaster" as the principal, and as of today both the school's website https://anderson.austinschools.org/contactus/administrators and the district's staff page https://www.austinisd.org/directory list "Brian Lancaster" as the principal of Anderson High School. Wasting my time by claiming your unsourced and apparently bogus edit is real was not a good idea. Meters (talk) 20:52, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Meters:
I understand, truthfully, I don't care about the warning, as I am simply trying to make a meaningful edit, and do not care to waste my time arguing about something I know I am right about. I am not trying to disrespect you. I attend the school, and you can check my history and past edits to observe that I have not and do not make bogus edits. As for my source, like I said, that is a first hand experience, and the information is not archived. At the time of my edit, Cream was the principal, as listed on their website, and the other sources you have linked.
As for your abrasiveness towards me for trying to make a regular edit, please read the following.

"The principle ignorantia juris non excusat (Latin for: "ignorance of the law does not excuse") is incompatible with the guidelines of "do not bite" and "assume good faith". In this case, ignorance of Wikipedia's guidelines can or may excuse the mistakes of a newcomer. Furthermore, you yourself violate Wikipedia's guidelines and policies when you attack a new user for ignorance of them.
Try instead to follow the points set forth in this article to relieve new editors of their ignorance. Keep in mind that this is not the way many other things work, and even seasoned editors fail to follow—or are simply unaware of—our guidelines from time to time.
To a newcomer, the large number of Wikipedia policies and guidelines can be overwhelming. Ignorance of the rules can often be expected, but willfully disregarding them and disrupting the editorial process of constructing our online encyclopedia is quite another. If you exclude editors without barnstars and the like from your circle you probably diminish the final product.
In all cases though, we ought to interact with our fellow editors with gentleness and respect. This is the most important thing to stress." Trulyy (talk) 21:49, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Really? You're going to double down on this, and attempt to lecture me too? Not only did you make an unsourced edit with an improbable name that is contradicted by your own original edit and the current school admin page and district staff page, but further checking shows that there is no-one by the name of "Cream" employed anywhere by the school district. So congrats, I've wasted even more time on this stupidity. You would have us believe that the school district appointed Cream, who isn't even listed as a current employee anywhere, as an interim principal to replace Lancaster, replaced Lancaster with Cream on both the school and district web pages by June 23 when you made the edit (a month after the last day of classes and the day before the last work day for teachers) (At the time of my edit, Cream was the principal, as listed on their website, and the other sources you have linked, but had changed both web pages back to listing Lancaster by July 6 when I warned you? You are digging yourself in even deeper. I simply don't believe you.
I certainly did not attack a new user for ignorance of them [policies]. You have been here for more than a year, so you are not a new user. I have written nothing about you not knowing Wikipedia policies. Warning a user for apparent vandalism in not an attack. Meters (talk) 23:44, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't care whether you believe me or not. Your conversation is displaying your lack of logical thinking.
You have refused to acknowledge that:
- Cream is no longer employed by the district, and therefore will no longer be listed as a current employee on the website
- Lancaster did not become principal on the date if your edit, he became principal sometime between my last edit and yours. Therefore there is plenty of time for the website to be changed
- several other things
It is beyond me why you want to dedicate your time to arguing with someone on the internet about who is the principal of their school. I think your time would be better dedicated to not power-tripping on the internet. Trulyy (talk) 00:55, 7 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'll leave it up to you to decide if the references should be repaired. 76.14.122.5 (talk) 22:25, 6 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm 2601:5CC:8300:A7F0:B84C:9C66:EC05:38A. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! 2601:5CC:8300:A7F0:B84C:9C66:EC05:38A (talk) 01:43, 7 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
