Information icon Hello, I'm Cjquines10. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.  cjquines  (talk) 00:12, 18 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

AfD

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Flashpoint (politics). Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you.

Unreferenced material

Stop adding unreferenced material back into articles. If material was challenged and removed for being unsourced you cannot add it back in without providing a source. For Flashpoint this means that for each entry you add back in you need to specifically source and provide a reference for that flashpoint. Adding a general reference that doesn’t mention most of the entries, and another reference that isn’t even about flash points, isn’t adequate. Because they were removed for being unsourced you need to reference each one that is put back in. If you continue to edit war to put unsourced material back into an article you may be blocked from editing. All entries must be referenced by reliable sources that talk specifically about that entry. They’ve all been challenged and removed, therefore it is now incumbent on the person putting them back that they are all referenced. Canterbury Tail talk 02:12, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Puppet state, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Counterpunch. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:59, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The article you've just renamed covers the *entire* history of the Afghan Armed Forces, from 1709. You *must* consult before you change the nature of the article so fundamentally, *especially* if, as is clear, there is disageement. In addition, it breaks the consistency of national armed forces articles ("Military of X") which do not have such temporary time sections. However there is ample precedent for a History of the Afghan Armed Forces 2002-2021 subpage. I will revert your article title change, though, for now, not the other edits. The way you request such a change is through talkpage discussion. Please start a discussion on the talkpage, including some discussion of where you might want to house the 1709-2002 history material, if you wish to make such a change. If the consensus of the discussion goes to a 2002-2021 splitting, we can move it back after the discussion - see Talk:Afghan Armed Forces#Shifting to subarticle about 2002 - 2021 ? concludes. Kind regards. Buckshot06 (talk) 06:47, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

All your hasty edits have also just destroyed my careful reference consolidation - to sfn form for Jalali and Nyrop & Seekins. Please be more careful in future!! Buckshot06 (talk) 06:56, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Important Notice

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Please stop making test edits to Wikipedia, as you did to Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (1996–2001). It is considered vandalism, which, under Wikipedia policy, can lead to being blocked from editing. If you would like to experiment again, please use your sandbox. ― Tartan357 Talk 01:32, 13 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions. Please mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Afghanistan, as "minor" only if they are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. ― Tartan357 Talk 08:42, 25 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Text source

Hi Worldwar1989, you just added a huge chunk of text to Afghanistan within a short period with very little in the way of edit summaries. Where is this text from? Did you write it, or is it copied from another Wikipedia article? If it was copied, you need to attribute this per WP:CWW. Best, CMD (talk) 09:03, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, if I message here there is no need to reply on my talkpage, as that breaks the conversation up a bit. If you copied from another article, you must attribute per WP:CWW. Please read that link, and attribute with the relevant oldid from the page you copied from. It is also helpful to use edit summaries regularly, which would help others see what you are doing. Best, CMD (talk) 10:21, 24 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

August 7, 2003 in Iraqi Armed Forces article

By this edit you added "August 7" to the date of the restablishment of the Armed Forces after the invasion. But August 7 is not mentioned in the article or cited. Would you either detail why August 7 is important, with citations, or remove this, please? Buckshot06 (talk) 07:18, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • To be clear, you don't need to revert 3x in 24 hours for it to be considered editing warring. Adding the edits you made when logged out as an IP, there is a clear pattern here. Since it is clear several others disagree with your changes, you need to go to the talk page and discuss the changes you want to make and gain a consensus. Reverting again will likely get you sanctions, so I strongly suggest you take this warning seriously. Dennis Brown - 19:31, 31 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I noticed that you may have recently made edits while logged out. Wikipedia's policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow the use of both an account and an IP address by the same person in the same setting and doing so may result in your account being blocked from editing. Additionally, making edits while logged out reveals your IP address, which may allow others to determine your location and identity. If this was not your intention, please remember to log in when editing. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 02:57, 26 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit summaries

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks again for your contributions to Wikipedia!   Mathglot (talk) 21:08, 22 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Canada–Iraq relations moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Canada–Iraq relations, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Disruption only?

Just reviewed the history of this account. I am convinced that this is a disruption-only account dedicated to restoring or adding POV that always ends up getting reverted. Ping @De728631, Dennis Brown, and Drmies: the admins who have warned this user. While Drmies warned the user above on February 2022 over editing while logged out, it seems that De728631 already noted editing while logged out back in December 2021 by this user.[1] I also note that the absence of WP:COMMUNICATION by this user gives me no confidence that disruption won't happen. >>> Extorc.talk(); 18:03, 29 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Controversial page moves

Please do not move articles to disputed titles, like you did at Battle of Donbas (2022), without a clear consensus to do so. Moving the page otherwise is disruptive and violates Wikipedia's policies. It is especially disruptive to move the article in question during an active discussion, which appears to be what you did. According to the closure at the page-move discussion, which was closed by an uninvolved administrator, there is no consensus for moving to the proposed title, so unless the consensus changes in a new discussion at a later date, there is no basis for moving the article. Please do not do this again. Thank you. LightandDark2000 🌀 (talk) 15:45, 27 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
