Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as Draft:Bundenesia, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 15:48, 25 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I did not mean to be disruptive or introduce any hoax on Wikipedia. In the last year I have studied the island in question, and only care about sharing real information about it. 'Bluff Island' is the old name of an island which, in our town, is referred to more commonly as 'Bundenesia'. It is one of many names that the island has had including, 'Murderer's Island' and 'Bole Island.' I would like to be unblocked to have another chance to write the article with more references to its history and its present day circumstance. I have many citations from historical archives about its many old names + recent citations about its name. Even the mayor of our town recognized Bundenesia as legitimate. I promise that this is not a hoax, and until my article is approved, I won't make any other changes to the site. Please unblock me. Happy holidays. Decline reason:

You're not even telling the truth about the name in this unblock request. Stop wasting our time; this is not the right place for your little project. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 18:53, 25 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Jpgordon I understand where you're coming from, though this is in no way a project of mine, and I am not lying about the name; it is, without a doubt, what the island is most commonly referred to as in our town. I shall return when I have evidence that is more considerable than word of mouth. Thank you for your time.

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You are suspected of sockpuppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, then, if you wish to do so, respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Amallgoar. Thank you.— rsjaffe 🗣️ 18:02, 25 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Rsjaffe Responding here because I couldn't seem to figure out how to address my Sockpuppet investigation while still blocked. After humorously discussing being blocked on Wikipedia with a friend, he, without my advice, made the change himself. I figured that this would impact my block appeal, though I did not anticipate a sockpuppetry investigation. From what I've read, I believe the CheckUser tool should be able to support my sockpuppetry case. However, apart from personal logs/messages, which I think are prohibited, I don't have any evidence. Let me know if there's anything you would advise I do. Amallgoar (talk) 18:54, 25 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I put a link to your comment on the investigation page. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 19:13, 25 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

A couple of years ago I got in some trouble on Wikipedia for creating an article for an island in my town with the incorrect name (my friends and I were trying to change the name of the island on all federal maps). This account was correctly flagged and blocked, and I gained a new appreciation for Wikipedia moderators' thoroughness. Since our name change initiative failed, I became seriously interested and engaged in my town's politics and history. There are now important contributions I would like to make before I leave my town, and I really regret my disruptive editing from a couple of years ago. I would even like to rewrite the island article (with the correct name Bluff Island) because I am the only person in my town who chronicled historical documents of the island. I am a changed man looking for a second chance. Please clear my editing block. Amallgoar (talk) 20:00, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

This sounds reasonable. I'm assuming good faith and unblocking. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆𝄐𝄇 20:07, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
