Instructions

If you notice that a Wikipedia user is showing signs of stress, taking a wikibreak, or considering leaving the project altogether, please add the user to the appropriate list below so that the Esperanza community can intervene with encouraging comments and suggestions. You are welcome to add your own username to any of the lists if you wish to receive support from the community. Or if someone else has added your user name to the list and you wish to be left alone, you may remove yourself from the list.

Each entry should remain on this page until the issue is resolved or for approximately one month. "Leaving Wikipedia" alerts that do not succeed in encouraging prominent users to stay with the project should be archived to the list of missing Wikipedians.

Stressbusters has some suggestions for actions you might take in response to these alerts.

User:Linuxerist User has left Wikipedia due to stress and related issues, though much of it took place on e-mail. Sparse edits are made under an account only disclosed to a few of his wikifriends.

User:Francs2000 This death threat that the police have told me they can't do anything about. This blatant attack on my character by someone who hasn't the faintest idea who I am or what I stand for. Different users deciding to duke it out between themselves on my talk page. This is not what I need in my life when at the same time I have homophobic attacks at work (this afternoon), some bastard taxi driver crashing into my car and refusing to give me his details (this evening) and ten thousand things that need doing in the office. Being an admin on this sites sucks donkey dick and I've HAD ENOUGH. When I've a) calmed down, b) got itchy fingers or c) had my sense of humour restored
