Mirza Mohammad Maulana Yasoob Abbas (21 March 1970) is an Islamic cleric and speaker of All India Shia Personal Law Board[1] (AISPLB). He is the member of India Islamic Culture Centre, Delhi and Shia College, Lucknow. He is also the Islamic Scholar and delivers speech on Islam. He is supporting the Love Jihad law and Triple Talaq law which is made by government for betterment of Muslim female the most controversy issue in Islam.[2]

Personal life

Maulana Yasoob Abbas was born in Lucknow UP, where he pursued post graduate from Lucknow University. His father is Mirza Mohammad Athar Abbas and mother Suroor Fatima. He is married to Abbas Mubarika. He got expertise in language like Urdu, Arabic, Farsi with Hindi and English.

Views on Muslim community

Since 2014 after BJP government most of the Muslim community are feeling that they are under tremendous pressure, insecure in India, but as per Yasoob Abbas being the member of Shia community this is not correct actually few bunch of community misleading or wrong picture is portraying over the entire Muslim community. BJP government vision is equal for all community and not thinking that Muslim is vote bank for election like other political party. He supports triple talaq law the most controversy issue Islam for betterment of Muslim women. Being natural concept on cow slaughting of beef meat it should be legalized process where no human being should be harmed or penalized. Yasoob Abbas wanted to resolve the Ram janmabhumi-Babri Masjid dispute out of the court with discussion of both parties before the Supreme court verdict.[3]

Work and contribution

  • Maulana Yasoob Abbas expresses his views on Utter Pradesh Government should order to all the institution to celebrates the Independence Day like flag hosting and singing national anthem being school, colleges or madrasa, why order issued to only madrasa it seems to proving the patriotism, however since Independence madrasa has been hosting national flag and singing national anthem as well.[4]
  • Maulana Yasoob Abbas welcomed the Supreme Court verdict on triple talaq law, that system was harassing the Muslim women. It was no arrangement of triple talaq in the times of Holy Prophet, he wants a strict law against triple talaq for welfare of Muslim female, look like a law passed against the Sati System earlier.[5]
  • Maulana Yasoob Abbas welcomed the decision Dangal actress Zaira Wasim of quitting career from Bollywood as acting, he also requested other Muslim actresses to hear the inner voice this actress could leave the acting.[6]
  • Maulana Yasoob Abbas shows his objection on visiting of PM Narendra Modi in Ayodhya for lay foundation of Ram Mandir on 5 August 2020, he says country is fighting on Covid pandemic and need to avoid crowd for safety of human being, possible to gathering of crowd if PM visits.[7]
  • On July 28, 2019 the one-day annual meeting of the All India Shia Personal Law Board (AISPLB) was hold held in Lucknow on that meeting Maulana Yasoob Abbas had demanded from the state government for strict law on mob lynching as many incidents were reported in various part of the country specially Shia community has been targeted with strict law there must be process of capital punishment. On the meeting focusing in Shia community that this community is just 5% of total population and should not be ignored by the government and this community also need to developed.   • He shows his view on the Ram Mandir verdict by the Supreme Court that everyone must welcome the verdict of the Supreme Court on the Ram Mandir conflict, that there should be no politics on religion either temple or mosque, due to this politics many persons had lost their life.[9]
  • Maulana Yasoob Abbas Criticized the comments of Ravi Kishan that India should declare the Hindu Nation (Hindu Rashtra), as per him communal comments will disturb the environment of our country, However Hindu population is high compare to other religions population but constitution has given same rights everyone so there is no mean of declaring the Hindu Rashtra.[2]
  • Shia Cleric Maulana Yasoob Abbas appealed all the Muslim community that they must offer Namaz from Home only as well as avoid to hugging each other or shaking hands with one another to keep safe from Corona Virus and following the CORONA Protocol.[10]
  • Maulana Yasoob Abbas says that Muslim Community has insulted by Chief of Markaz Maulana Saad, while Covid first wave was started in our country huge gathering was done by Maulana Saad at Tablighi Jamaat Markaz in Nizamuddin Delhi, due to huge gathering around 4000 Covid patients was linked and spread the virus around the county.[11]

  • Maulana Yasoob Abbas paid his tribute on demise of Maulana Kalbe Sadiq the Islamic scholar and vice-president of All India Muslim Personal Law Board at Lucknow hospital.[13]
  • There was a petition from former Uttar Pradesh Shia Waqf Board chairman Waseem Rizvi on removal of 26 verses from the Quran of religious book is Islam, that petition has been dismissed by Supreme Court on that verdict Maulana Yasoob Abbas has congratulated to all Muslims of the country.[14][15][16]
