Andrej Golja (born January 15, 1985) is a Slovenian metal guitarist known for his contributions to the heavy metal, speed metal, and thrash metal genres. He has been a prominent member of several metal bands, including Big Bad Wolf and Devil's Bridge.

Early Life and Education[edit]

Andrej Golja was born on January 15, 1985, in Šempeter pri Gorici, present day Slovenia. He developed an interest in music at a young age, influenced by the local metal scene and renowned guitarists. Golja pursued his formal education in music at a local conservatory, where he honed his skills in guitar performance and music theory.

Musical Career[edit]

Golja's career began in the late 2000s when he joined the death/thrash metal band The Dark Catalyst. He played lead guitar for the band, contributing to their development and local performances. In 2010, The Dark Catalyst transformed into Devil's Bridge, where Golja continued to play lead guitar until 2011, contributing to their demo He Is Crossing released in 2011.[1]

In 2015, Golja joined the heavy metal band Big Bad Wolf as their lead guitarist. With Big Bad Wolf, he played on their debut album, Outrage of Modesty, released on February 25, 2018. The album features tracks such as "Dingo Fever," "Bow To Your King," and "Ocean Of Madness," showcasing Golja's technical prowess and innovative guitar solos.[2][3]

Golja has also been associated with other projects, including a brief stint with the band Skeletorion during their early formation stages.[1]
