Summary

Description
English: Scandic Crown Hotel, High Street An architectural tour de force, designed by Ian Begg and built in 1990, this building proves that it is possible to maintain the character of the High Street by borrowing stylistically from Scotland's traditional vernacular architecture when building anew. This hotel blends in harmoniously with the surrounding environment but still makes a bold impression in its own right.
