Plot
[edit]Bindiya and her sister Payal live on a farm that their relatives plan to seize. After the death of their parents, the two sisters face many hurdles. Bindiya and Payal often clash due to their different ideologies. Bindiya is honest and hardworking, while Payal wants to be rich at any cost. As they grow up, the differences between them also grow. As grown ups, Bindiya remains in her village while Payal is a college student. Payal is in a relationship with Krish, but Krish's father, Baldev, is looking to get Krish married to someone homely and traditional. Bindiya saves Baldev's life, so Baldev decides her to be his daughter-in-law. Krish and Bindiya's wedding is fixed and they get married. Krish is still in love with Payal, but Bindiya is unaware of their relationship and has fallen in love with Krish.
Eventually, Payal succeeds in becoming Krish's illegal wife. After several evil shenanigans of Payal, Bindiya ends up exposing her in front of the whole family and Krish. Payal ends up leaving after seeing Krish's anger, but she comes back to the Shukla family by pretending to commit suicide. Krish ends up forgiving Payal and accept her love. Bindiya goes back to her village and ends up meeting a businessman, Samay, who happens to be Krish's estranged cousin. Krish begins to feel jealous due to the their growing closeness and realises his love for Bindiya. Krish finally accepts his feelings for Bindiya and they are married again.
Bindiya is revealed to be pregnant with Krish's child. However, Krish finds out that Bindiya's pregnancy has complication and urges her to have an abortion. Amidst all this, Bindiya helps Nidhi deliver her baby boy, and decides not to abort her child. The Shukla family accept her decision and after nine months, she gives birth to her daughter, Swara. Two days later, Bindiya and Krish die in a blast while visiting the temple with Amma, Swara and Baldev. Indu blames Swara for their death and labels her as an inauspicious child.
20 years later
[edit]Swara, a dancer, is mute so she expresses her words through Dhwani, who is her interpreter. Dhwani is ambitious and dreams of becoming rich and doesn’t want to live like her mom, a maid. Vedant falls in love with Dhwani, but she rebuffs him as she believes him to be poor. Swara, falls in love with him and is led to believe by Dhwani that Vedant reciprocates her feelings. Rudra, Vedant’s father, is impressed by Swara and wants her to be his daughter-in-law. Rudra and Baldev fix Shlok's marriage with Naina, a widow and Vedant's cousin, and Vedant's marriage with Swara.
Dhwani then successfully manipulates Vedant and he breaks off his relationship with Swara. However, Koel, Vedant's stepmother gives Dhwani money to leave Vedant, as she wants a daughter-in-law that will do all her bidding. Heartbroken by this, Vedant decides to marry Swara and accept her with all his heart. Prabha, who is Swara's dance teacher, is revealed to be Vedant's mother who was thrown out of her house due to her sister Koel's evil ploys.
