Mrs. Nandini Rajendran is a renowned and popular social worker from the city of Coimbatore, India.

From addressing health issues to working towards rural rehabilitation, her work spans a wide range of social issues and concerns. However, as the champion of the downtrodden in the state of Tamil Nadu, she is most noted for her work in issues relating to the underprivileged women, senior citizens and for her work in child education, health and welfare. She is well-known for her successful war against the practice of female infanticide in the districts of Salem and Namakkal.

She has been recognized for her exemplary service by many organizations. In 1993, the Government of India appointed her as an Honorary Chairperson to the Tamil Nadu Social Welfare Board. She serves on several committees of social importance. She is also active in the boardrooms of many educational institutions. She is fondly referred to as "Thenakathu Teresa" (South Indian Mother Teresa.)
