Hi everybody! Welcome to my Userpage.

What do I think about Wikipedia?

[edit]

Well, Wikipedia is a nice source of information of anything. For example, if you want to know some about the 2010 FIFA World Cup, you may not found anything on a normal encyclopedia, maybe on the press you would find something.

On the other hand, if you want to know about the Independence of Mexico, you maybe find something on a normal encyclopedia, but the press wouldn't give anything.

Furthermore, if you want to know about the Spanish folk rock band Mägo de Oz, you maybe find nothing on a normal encyclopedia, and the press would only offer news about Mägo de Oz tours.

Wikipedia has a very high advantage in all those cases. The three topics mentioned above are in Wikipedia, with a good content that, if necessary, refreshes and actualizes.

Also, Wikipedia has something that others sites hasn't: It's a free encyclopedia. That means that anybody with the right information can actualize a page, instead of waiting to the editors of the other sites to actualize. Obviously, this freedom is well-limited by the administrators, who take care of Wikipedia and extermine problems such as vandalism, misinformation, etc.
