Removing tags

[edit]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you.Aiden Fisher (talk) 07:46, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Justin Skinner (footballer born 1972)

[edit]

An editor has nominated Justin Skinner (footballer born 1972), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Justin Skinner (footballer born 1972) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 07:59, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Brian Borrows

[edit]

Hi there. Regarding your edit to Brian Borrows, the word (loan) in the infobox should not be in italics, as per the Wikipedia Football Project Player Manual of Style. Also, external links should relate to the subject of the article, so a team website should not be linked to from a player article. Regards. --Jameboy (talk) 18:58, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Get Out (song)

[edit]

An article that you have been involved in editing, Get Out (song), has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Get Out (song). Thank you. Proposed deletion of Marc Cable

[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Marc Cable, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Never played at a professional level as required by WP:ATHLETE

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Non Free Images in your User Space

[edit]

Hey there Jfj184, thank you for your contributions! I am a bot alerting you that Non-free files are not allowed in the user or talk-space. I removed some files that I found on User:Jfj184/Hole In the River. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use images to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

Orphaned non-free image File:Mi-Sex - Where Do They Go.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Mi-Sex - Where Do They Go.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
  • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.
  • To opt out of these bot messages, add {{bots|deny=DASHBot}} to your talk page.
  • If you believe the bot has made an error, please turn it off here and leave a message on my owner's talk page.

Thank you. DASHBot (talk) 00:20, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Important note

[edit]

You're building up a little walled garden of fake articles in your userspace. This is not allowed; Wikipedia is not a free webhost for you to store your fiction.

I'll give you a week to save any of the data that you might want to keep, but then they're all coming down. You can make things easier if you add {{db-u1}} to each of the pages once you're done with it; this will tag it for deletion as "userpage whose deletion has been requested by creator".

You might also want to download a free copy of the MediaWiki software so you can run it yourself. DS (talk) 13:57, 29 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the delay in answering; I've had some hardware problems. Anyway, as for the templates: you're definitely allowed to copy any of the templates -- or, indeed, any Wikipedia content whatsoever -- to your own MediaWiki installation. Some of the more complex templates may themselves include other templates; you'll have to copy those as well. As for why you can't do this on Wikipeda: well, read these guidelines about what you can, and can't, do with your userspace. And as for the deadline by which I'm going to delete those pages: well... if you're actually dealing with the problem yourself, then I suppose you can have an extension. Not an indefinite extension, mind -- I'll check back on you periodically, and if you're not doing anything, I'll take the content down. It's the difference between "take the time you need to do it right" and "don't bother doing it", you see? DS (talk) 13:59, 8 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Welcome to Wikipedia. While everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one of your recent file uploads had missing or false information regarding its source and copyright status. Please note that Wikipedia takes copyright and copyright infringement very seriously. Images and other media may only be uploaded and included if their copyright status meets the conditions stated in our image use policy, and if their provenance is clearly documented. If you have questions, feel free to ask at the copyright question page or on my talk page. Thank you. ---zeeyanketu talk to me 08:23, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Image without license

[edit]

Unspecified source/license for File:The Go! Team - Semicircle.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:The Go! Team - Semicircle.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 12:45, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
