If you leave me a message here don't expect a reply

I log into my english account infrequently, sometimes not dropping around for months at a time. so if you have anything to say do it do it here (You can write in English) - but please remember to sign your name manually, as ~~~ won't work if you don't have a user name in hewikipedia as well (or if you have one and don't sign in).

It's always nice to know who you're talking to. Daniel Tzvi

Why am I blocked?

[edit]

{{unblock|Ambiguaty in the reasoning}}

The somwhat criptic reason I was given is "Alberuni" - I went to the article carriying that name & to It's redirect page, but was unable to find neither myself nor my IP address (65.81.18.46) in the article history. [[Daniel Tzvi]] 14:35, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've unblocked that IP, try now. --Sam Blanning(talk) 15:11, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Unblock successfull, Thank you, & have a nice day. [[Daniel Tzvi]] 15:31, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jewish Music

[edit]

Hi, i noticed you created the page on Miami Boys Choir. I have started up a jewish music wiki and i'm currently in desperate need of a user base. I hope you're interested in helping out. If you know anyone else who might be interested, or can help out in any way, i would much appreciate it. All the best, — DeFender1031 02:31, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 18:26, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. You've added a category for Flora Sassoon's burial. Could you please add a reference for it? There are several Flora Sassoon and we'd have to be certain this is her (for example if her dates were inscribed on the grave). Please reply on MY talkpage. Thank you.Zigzig20s (talk) 14:16, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, very interesting. Are you in Jerusalem now--are you able to take a picture of the grave? Are there more members of the Sassoon family buried there? I am going to create Arthur Sassoon's page and others too. Definitely a very accomplished family--I wonder if any of them still live in Hove btw.Zigzig20s (talk) 15:16, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Flora Sassoon's tombstone
Yes, you might say I am able to take a picture of the grave :)
Also in the Sassoon family plot in the Mount of Olives: Saliman David (Farcha's husband), David (Farcha and Saliman David's son) Sarah Zischa (nee Prins, wife of aforementioned David), Mazal Tov (daughter of Farcha and S.D.).
So far it all makes sense - the next two ar confusing: Saliman son of David (died 1985), and Alice wife of Saliman David (daughter of Benjamin, died 1998). according to this page, I presume these last two were married to each other (as apposed to his mother/stepmother). מרכז מידע הר הזיתים (talk) 15:23, 17 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Fantastic. I've added this picture to her page. I really must learn to speak/read Hebrew. Would you be able to tell me what is written on the tombstone, by translating it as close as possible? I'm thinking of adding the translation in the picture's description on her page for those of us who can't read Hebrew. Thank you very much.Zigzig20s (talk) 04:32, 18 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Just wanted to let you know I have just created Ludwig Blum's page, in case you want to take a look and perhaps expand it with references/citations. Also, any idea where we could find his picture in the public domain to add it to this page? Additionally, is it possibly to have a picture of his tomb?Zigzig20s (talk) 17:40, 25 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
