Merge discussion closure

[edit]

Thanks for closing the merge discussion on Integrated landscape management! You did however forget one step which is closing the discussion not only removing the merge templates. You can see instructions on how to do this at WP:MERGECLOSE. Trialpears (talk) 08:58, 19 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into List of Lucchese crime family mobsters. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was moved, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 15:32, 13 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox

[edit]

I suggest that you please make the infobox first, then remove the infobox request from the talk page. For you look like a vandal when you don't do it this way. Catfurball (talk) 16:37, 6 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Talk:Abdel Rahman Abdel Hamid does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Bob Van Ronkel has been reverted.
Your edit here to Bob Van Ronkel was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bvv4O0EhiIM) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. music or video) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 09:47, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Explain

[edit]

Please explain your edits with misleading summaries of "specific category" before continuing to edit. Praxidicae (talk) 11:56, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Following onto this, stop. You're still doing the exact same thing and failing to communicate. Infoboxes on articles that are 2 sentences and contain only the name of the person are useless. Praxidicae (talk) 14:39, 26 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Sir George Reid Info box

[edit]

Hi - thanks for adding the info box to the page on Sir George Reid. One question - you have "known for: photography". Is this a mistake - there isn't anything in the page that I can see about his photographic work? Isn't he best known for his portraiture? Dorset100 (talk) 10:46, 13 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
