Fair use rationale for File:Hannah Montana cast 2.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Hannah Montana cast 2.JPG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. AussieLegend (talk) 05:55, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Overlinking

[edit]

Please note that we generally link only the first occurrence of a term, as per WP:REPEATLINK. There is no point linking to every occurrence as you've been doing at Hannah Montana (season 4). Hannah Montana

[edit]

I have reverted your changes to Hannah Montana again. As I indicated in my last edit summary, removal of the valid information was not explained and "Returning series" is all that is needed. It is not necessary to explain in the infobox, which is simply supposed to summarise the article, that this is the last season. Moving images to the left breaks text flow and is undesirable in any article. Please do not make these changes again without discussing it on the talk page. --AussieLegend (talk) 03:03, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Disney channel Logo 2010.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Disney channel Logo 2010.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:07, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Adam Irigoyen requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ttonyb (talk) 04:14, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you deleting episodes of iCarly, with no explanation?--intelati(Call) 19:27, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your addition to The Suite Life Movie has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of article content such as sentences or images. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Before saving your changes to an article, please provide an edit summary, which you forgot to do before saving your recent edit to List of The Suite Life on Deck episodes. Doing so helps everyone to understand the intention of your edit (and prevents legitimate edits from being mistaken for vandalism). It is also helpful to users reading the edit history of the page. Thank you. Please try to avoid edits such as this, which reintroduced a number of errors and inconsistencies that had been corrected. It appears that you reverted the article back to this version from four days ago, before making some changes that could easily have been made to the current version.[1] AussieLegend (talk) 06:16, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

[2] This seems to have removed some three months of edits to the article. Please be careful. Gimmetoo (talk) 18:32, 12 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, there are different measures of viewership. Nearly all the disney articles are written to say something equivalent to "on the night of its premiere, it received X viewers". The stats in the articles correspond to this text. The numbers you keep changing do not - they are a different measure, a different statistic, that corresponds to viewers over a longer period than one night. Therefore, they do not correspond to the preview in a simple way. Please stop changing these numbers. Also, you are not simply changing these numbers, but also reverting back to your older version, which removes other improvements to the article. Gimmetoo (talk) 00:06, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I noticed an edit from an IP address identical to one of the edits you've been making changing premiere viewer numbers, and it was a revert back many days. If that was you, please stop and discuss your edits from now on, or you and these IP address may start getting blocked. Gimmetoo (talk) 02:14, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Blogs

[edit]

As per Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources#Self-published sources (online and paper), blogs are not generally reliable sources. This is especially true in the case where the blogs author admits to being anonymous, as is the case with travisyanan.blogspot.com. Regardless of whether the content on such sites seems to be, or actually is, correct, it can not be used in citations. This is why this edit was reverted. It should not have been restored.[3] --AussieLegend (talk) 12:23, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Replaceable fair use File:Hannah_Montana_4.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Hannah_Montana_4.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 23:37, 16 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Action, Scott Thomas and John Oliver (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
