As for the trimming, there are two reasons. First, articles have topics and material that's not directly related to that topic is off-topic. It's best to leave it out, especially if it's already in another article. It isn't necessary to list the cause of death of an entry in List of physicians, and no other entry there has that info. Second, that material was added by a single-purpose editor who has been adding material to promote a fringe view. While even fringe views may have a place on Wikipedia, we should avoid spreading them around generally. See WP:FRINGE. Will Beback talk 20:24, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
