Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Church Militant (website), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Elizium23 (talk) 15:40, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Elizium,
Sorry if my undoing of changes came off as rude. I understand your concern about if Church Militant is a reliable source, however it should be noted that the article I cited consists of an interview with the affected seminarian, and on that basis the article in question should be considered reliable.
I understand that you have a lot of experience on wikipedia, particularly in the field of articles to do with the Catholic Church. Perhaps we can work together to find a suitable solution to this? Many thanks! Cat957 (talk) 15:49, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Church Militant is not a reliable source, and a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy is necessary for use as a citation in Wikipedia. If you can locate and identify a source which has run articles and meets these standards, then you can include it. Elizium23 (talk) 15:52, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page, as you did at Paul Charles Farrer. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Elizium23 (talk) 14:27, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Elizium, as I have said to you, generally I would agree that Church Militant is not a great source, but given that the article being cited consists of an interview with the seminarian, I cannot see how it can't be seen as reliable. I ask that we leave the page as is until further discussions are concluded on the nomination for deletion page. Cat957 (talk) 14:30, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, you mean an unnamed person making contentious claims about a third party? Hmm. Elizium23 (talk) 14:34, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
In addition to article space, editors are prohibited from making unsourced contentious claims about living persons everywhere, including deletion discussions. I'm the one who's redacting your comments, because you can't make those claims about Farrer anywhere on Wikipedia. Thanks. Elizium23 (talk) 15:05, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
