Speedy deletion of StreetsOnline

A tag has been placed on StreetsOnline, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. No advertisment
[edit]Since the company no longer exists, there is no advertising. This page however informs on one piece of the history of the brief, but eventful period of the internet boom, answering questions like: where has that company gone? Was it successful? Did it fail? Which may help in future research on the Internet eConomy.
If otherwise not recorded, this type of information may be either hard to retrieve or lost forever.
- Completely agree, I looked it up after sumbling on CDNows page, and was amazed that there was no history. Was it a UK only company? I remember them being one of the first sponsors of Scifi programs on Sky One around the 2000 history, were they gobbled up by a larger company? 92.40.30.222 (talk) 17:45, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
