Thanks for checking the spelling of the article, you found a lot of mistakes. For future reference, British English spellings (like armoured and metre) probably don't need to be "corrected" to American English spellings unless the subject is directly linked to an American English-speaking area. For Claymore, it's unclear which would be more appropriate (since it's a Japanese medium), but such a change is less of a correction and more of a style preference. Perhaps it could be discussed on the talk page and one dialect can be chosen for consistency. Leebo T/C 16:43, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Will keep that in mind. Thanks eZio 16:46, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bugger! Nobody ever watched the Animated version anyway ;) Thanks. ZueJay (talk) 23:34, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You and I haven't watched it, doesn't mean nobody has watched it. The point is technically VOY is the fifth in series. eZio 09:23, 6 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding GA Nomination

[edit]

Hi. About your message regarding the nomination of BITS, Pilani as a GA article:

  • Regarding Grade B: I had myself initially graded it as B a month or so ago when the article was in a bad shape. I have since worked considerably(See history) on the article to improve it based on other high rated university articles.
  • Regarding the to-do list(also added by me) I have put the required images into the article. The other thing in the to-do list is to expand sub divisions of this articles into new articles which I hope someone will do.
  • Your comment - "It is no way close to a GA!" Please be specific in saying that it has a long way to go. What in your opinion is missing/needs to be improved? That will be helpful.

Re: Light's Death

[edit]

I meant in that discussion. Nobody was arguing whether Matsuda had killed him anymore, and nobody could prove that he did beyond "He shot at Light". There are no signs that any of the shots hit him in a fatal area in the manga. Again, I haven't seen the last episode of the anime, maybe it's shown in that, and I'll gladly retract my statements to the contrary of what I've stated just above there about fatality, but regardless, Light died from Ryuk's heart attack, so Matsuda did not kill him. He may have died from the shots, had Ryuk not written Light's name in his Death Note, but either way, Ryuk was the one that killed Light. We can't say "This, this, this, and this person contributed to his death". And again, I have to point out that there's no reasoning behind your claim that Ryuk was waiting for Light's lifespan to run out, especially since Ryuk only started writing when Light asked him to help. But alas, I digress again. That's a topic for a forum discussion. Matsuda wasn't Light's killer. He may have contributed, but he did not end up as the final cause of death. Traditionally, shinigami take souls after one has died, sure. But if you've seen or read or experienced Death Note at all, you should know that Shinigami in Death Note kill before life spans are over, to take the rest of that person's life span. Ryuk even says himself that very few Shinigami do anything but that, and he just gave the Note to Light to amuse himself, basically, and he makes it clear to Light very early on that he will never help him to kill. That is why I see it as more of a betrayal of Light's misplaced trust than Ryuk waiting for Light's lifespan, and that's why I'm so confused as to why you keep insisting that Ryuk couldn't kill Light before Light's life span was over, because that's exactly what Shinigami in Death Note are supposed to do, and what they have to do to survive.
