Centralized TV Episode Discussion

[edit]

Over the past months, TV episodes have been reverted by (to name a few) TTN, Eusebeus and others. No centralized discussion has taken place, so I'm asking everyone who has been involved in this issue to voice their opinions here in this centralized spot, be they pro or anti. Discussion is here [1]. --Maniwar (talk) 18:41, 15 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:21st Tenkaichi Budokai.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --20:35, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Consensus?

[edit]

Need approval back here. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 18:55, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Martial Arts Tournament (Dragon Ball), by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Martial Arts Tournament (Dragon Ball) is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Martial Arts Tournament (Dragon Ball), please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Tien being AfD'd

[edit]

Lord S and Collectionian have nominated tien for an AfD, no notification on the talk page for merge discussion of course... ughJJJ999 (talk) 07:45, 7 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Being merged, right. Seems to be the case with many things around here. I love this character, but I've grown accustomed to this after my Tenkaichi budokai page was deleted w/out me even being notified. I do think that DB project pages should be in good shape and adhere to Wikipedia guidelines, but maybe we could slow things down a bit before making huge decisions such has deletions and mergers.--FUNKAMATIC 16:22, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. To fix your signature, it must have a link to your user page and your talk page. See Wikipedia:SIG#Internal_links. Until you add those links, Sinebot will continue signing for you to add the required links. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 05:10, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Good edit

[edit]

Thanks for editing out the whooping crane part in Endangered Species Act. I was just trying to have a theme running through the narrative, since the crane was the bird that alerted folks to a problem -see history section. Also that the dates were the same, one of those weird coincidences. It is hard to edit one's own writing. Again, thanks-Marcia Wright (talk) 15:07, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re internal morphology

[edit]

Hi Funkamatic,

In case we intend to develop Insect morphology#Internal morphology, then we need to remember that Insect physiology already exists dealing with systems in detail. This section should only give sufficient information about the structure and not its functioning as a system. AshLin (talk) 02:59, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

you're right, sorry, I didn't know about the physiology page, I supposes stuff like this needs to be discussed. I saw the lack of info so I just quickly added something.--FUNKAMATIC ~talk 09:32, 4 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I left a note at Talk:Holometabolism which may or may not interest you. Superp (talk) 13:05, 4 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Tell-All has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

non-notable per WP:BK

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Alan Liefting (talk) - 21:05, 20 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ant task force

[edit]

Hello Funkamatic! I see that you are interested in ants and myrmecology; you should check out the ants task force. Here is a list of ant-related open access articles useful for expanding articles. Feel free to add expanded articles to this list (we recently increased the goal to 75 new expansion before 31 December 2013). Happy editing, jonkerztalk 00:47, 13 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia from the Anatomy Wikiproject!

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia from WikiProject Anatomy! We're a group of editors who strive to improve the quality of anatomy articles here on Wikipedia. One of our members has noticed that you are involved in editing anatomy articles; it's great to have a new interested editor on board. In your wiki-voyages, a few things that may be relevant to editing wikipedia articles are:

  • Thanks for coming aboard! We always appreciate a new editor. Feel free to leave us a message at any time on the WikiProject Anatomy talk page. If you are interested in joining the project yourself, there is a participant list where you can sign up. Please leave a message on the talk page if you have any problems, suggestions, would like review of an article, need suggestions for articles to edit, or would like some collaboration when editing!
  • You will make a big difference to the quality of information by adding reliable sources. Sourcing anatomy articles is essential and makes a big difference to the quality of articles. And, while you're at it, why not use a book to source information, which can source multiple articles at once!
  • We try and use a standard way of arranging the content in each article. That layout is here. These headings let us have a standard way of presenting the information in anatomical articles, indicate what information may have been forgotten, and save angst when trying to decide how to organise an article. That said, this might not suit every article. If in doubt, be bold!
  • We write for a general audience. Every reader should be able to understand anatomical articles, so when possible please write in a simple form—most readers do not understand anatomical jargon. See this essay for more details.

Feel free to contact us on the WikiProject Anatomy talk page if you have any problems, or wish to join us. I wish you all the best on your wiki-voyages! -- CFCF 🍌 (email) 21:14, 18 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
