Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Lorne Greene's New Wilderness. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 01:46, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names. Thank you. Alexf(talk) 21:24, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Rename done, unblocking as user understands the original concerns. Alex Shih (talk) 03:28, 3 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm still very new to editing. The link to my blog post contained the information on a webpage from my, now defunct, website. I removed both versions of the link, once I learn the policy.

Should I be doing the revision of the New Wilderness page in my sandbox and post it as one major revision or as a long series of minor revisions? Aspenparkland (talk) 23:23, 31 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi, I'd like to keep Aspenparkland, but if necessary AspenSavannah will do. I was trying avoid "appears to be original research" by linking to an outside source with my research on episode list for New Wilderness. Aspenparkland (talk) 19:34, 1 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • @Alex Shih and Aspenparkland: I think a rename would be the best approach - even if the current name only represents a now defunct web site, the problem will surely arise again with people seeing it as "appearing to represent... etc". AspenSavannah sounds fine, and if you confirm you're happy with that I'll do the rename and unblock. (Don't worry about the wikibreak message I'm about to post on my user page - I'll still be around for a few days to do this). Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 15:14, 2 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Nature (TV series), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Moment of Impact (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:27, 20 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Cryptozoology Emergency

[edit]

Just thought I'd give everyone that's a member of WikiProject Cryprozoology a heads up. I've been seeing a lot of that looks like vandalism by Bloodoffox, removing cryptozoology categories and rewording things to appear as though article topics are on mythological creatures. I believe this is an attempt to get his merger proposal for List of Cryptids merged with List of mythological creatures although I cannot be sure. Hi I’m new page reviewer and I’m just looking at this article you created a few months ago. It has been in the queue of unreviewed articles for a long time and I think the reason is that while you’ve sourced the detail of each individual programme broadcast, it’s not clear that the whole series itself is notable. There is a redlink to Wildlife Cinema. If you are interested in creating it, it would be helpful to have an article about the whole series, or perhaps add some introductory detail to this list article and then we can rename it. What do you think? Mccapra (talk) 12:41, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
