Help a newbie out?

[edit]

Hi! I'm writing on behalf of a user who is very new to Wikipedia. He and another user have been trying to add Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/SourceLink, LLC to the mainspace. I have declined it because it wasn't neutral in tone and had several parts to it that had a promotional tone. There is a concern of a conflict of interest since both editors that have worked on the article are employed by the company and the user is frustrated because of this. He's also concerned that employees of the company would be the only people who would know about the article. I'm sending him in your direction, so I wanted to drop you a note so you're aware of him. It's user User:ChazMcGreedly and User:Matthewhaskell, although the most recent edits have been from McGreedly. If you could help them write this article then that'd be great. I've steered them in the direction of Wikipedia:WikiProject Business, but I wanted him to have an experienced user help him out. Tokyogirl79 (talk) 07:10, 13 December 2011 (UTC)tokyogirl79[reply]

Thanks. I'll try to be at hand if asked for assistance. Bjoertvedt (talk) 20:59, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

World Factoring Yearbook

[edit]

I'm leaving this message as you're listed as a current participant of WikiProject Business. I was informed yesterday that the current World Factoring Yearbook (circa £150) is now free for download as an ebook. It's a matter of filling out this form. I'm not sure if you'll find this useful as a reliable source, but I thought I should let you know that it's freely available online. I apologise in advance if this doesn't interest you! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. For the Election committee, MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 13:56, 24 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Erin Soderberg, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Scholastic. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

WikiProject Investment

[edit]

Hey there! I just re-launched the WikiProject Investment.

The site has been fully revamped and updated and I would like to invite you the project.

Feel free to check out the project and ping me if you have any questions.

I'd like to invite you to join the Investment WikiProject. There are a lot of Investment related articles on Wikipedia that could use a little attention, and I hope this project can help organize an effort to improve them. So please, take a look and if you like what you see, help get this project off the ground and a few Investment pages into the front ranks of Wikipedia articles. Thanks!

Cheers! WikiEditCrunch (talk) 19:56, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Norwegians by net worth, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Johan Johannson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
