Welcome to Wikipedia, Jomunro! I am Megalodon99 and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! Hello! I see you changed the time to two weeks... Well, I don't think it was; I listened to it you see, and if was Monday evenings over longer than two weeks. I'll need to check that, but I'm fairly certain... I could be wrong though! Best wishes Adaircairell (talk) 19:43, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How odd... I must have been wrong. Oh well! Adaircairell (talk) 16:33, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to WikiProject Musical Theatre!

Thank you for adding your name to our project membership list! Our goal is to make Wikipedia the foremost compendium of musical theatre to be found on the internet: hope you're up to the challenge! As a project member, you might like to introduce yourself on our talk page and maybe add the project membership userbox to your user page.

If you haven't done so already, please add our main project page to your watchlist and browse our page of useful templates. When you have a moment, please take some time to review our article structure guidelines for musicals, which, after months of collaboration, we developed through consensus as our recommended structure for articles on musicals. If you would like suggestions about where to start, we've gathered a few suggestions in the Project to do list and in our tasklist.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on the project talk page or on my talk page. Again, welcome and happy editing!

Hello. I'm contacting you and other members of WikiProject Books in order to find if you are interested in collaborating to expand and improve The CIA and the Cult of Intelligence article to make it worthy of becoming a featured article candidate, in light of the fact that it is the first book the U.S. government ever went to court to censor before its publication. --Loremaster (talk) 22:24, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy tagging

[edit]

Hi. When you tag an article for speedy deletion, it's best to use one of the standard tags from WP:CSD, such as {{db-person}} or {{db-band}} - they are more likely to be accepted by an admin, and if you can't find an appropriate one it probably means the article doesn't meet the (quite narrowly defined) criteria for a speedy. Also, they generate an appropriate warning for you to put on the author's talk page. On Jack kerridge, I have changed your "{{db-reason|does not meet notability standards}}" to {{db-nonsense}}, though {{db-person}} would have done as well and is usually the one to use when the article is a bio of someone with no indication of importance. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 11:34, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks- got a bit confused by all the templates Jomunro (talk) 11:36, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lewis Hamilton article

[edit]

I noticed that you changed the article to "while his paternal grandparents emigrated to the United Kingdom from Grenada " - as far as I was aware, if you want to use the word emigrated, you have to use emigrated from X to Y, if it is to Y from X then immigrated is correct.

I would be interested in your opinion.

Audio Drama Wiki

[edit]

Hello, I noticed that you are involved in the Wikipedia Radio project, and I wanted to invite you to participate with a new wiki project specifically about radio drama: the Audio Drama Wiki. I've been an Wikipedia editor for a while now, but there is lots of information that would be very useful to have about the medium that doesn't fall within Wikipedia's parameters. Hence, a new wiki. You are welcome to join us if you are interested. Justinkrivers (talk) 00:47, 13 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Tom Goodman-Hill, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page National Theatre (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 09:14, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
