As well as the wiki community pages there are IRC Channels, where you are more than welcome to ask for assistance.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask me on my talk page. Thanks and happy editing,-- JoanneB 22:13, 10 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, JoanneB! I'm still trying to find a topic for my first article. Seems that just about everything of interest to me has already been posted by someone else! So if anyone out there has any suggestions whatsoever, I'm all ears!

I know the feeling! Don't worry about it though, something will come up :) It's often helpful to look for red links in the articles that interest you, and start from there. There's also a list of requested articles, sorted by topic: Wikipedia:Requested articles.--JoanneB 21:20, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:BCSLogotagmed.jpeg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:BCSLogotagmed.jpeg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 21:16, 11 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption

[edit]

Hi. I saw you on the "adoption wanted" list and would like to ask you if I can adopt you. If you want to see my userpage, before you make your decision, it's located here. Thanks, Meldshal42Comments and SuggestionsMy Contributions 16:17, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I'm Outta Here...

[edit]

I'm completely fed-up with the total lack of common courtesy within this so-called "community."

An organization that condones the blatant deletion of a user profile page without first notifying or warning the user is an organization I want no part of.

Removing or editing an article I can understand. Lots of room for misinterpretation there. But a user page? C'mon!

Not that anyone cares, but I'll be removing any of my contributions and logging off for good.

Speedy deletion of Image:BCSLogotagmed.jpeg

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:BCSLogotagmed.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:BCSLogotagmed.jpeg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Kelly hi! 15:38, 5 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
