Collaboration and consensus

[edit]

I noticed that you made a change at Carl Friedrich Gauss, and after I changed part of it as not an improvement to the article, you came back within a few minutes and reverted, in order to reinstall your original version again. This is not how things are done at Wikipedia. It's fine to WP:BE BOLD and make a change you think will improve the article, as you did in this edit, but if another editor objects to part of it, as was the case here, rather than just revert in order to keep your original content, please go to the Talk page of the article and discuss any content disagreement with other editors. Wikipedia works by consensus, not by trying to force your changes into the article; that just leads to Edit warring. Please see the guideline at WP:BRD for details. Another thing you can do, is instead of making one large edit, with changes sprinkled all over the article, make several smaller edits, so that if only part of it is problematic, it's easier to keep the parts that other editors are happy with, and just redo the ones that need it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask here, or on my Talk page. And once again, welcome! Mathglot (talk) 09:51, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the welcome! Please consider this mistake mistake a consequence of inexperience and unfamiliarity. Hope I'll hear from you again. Horsesizedduck (talk) 13:08, 5 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Favor?

[edit]

I recently nominated Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair to GA and had to revise some sentences in the process. If you could revise it like you did with To Your Eternity I would appreciate it. Also, if you are interested Eternity was listed to be copyedited by the guild so it might be possible to nominate it too in the future for GA. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 21:04, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the invite! I'll take a look. Horsesizedduck (talk) 22:12, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It looks pretty good but suggest trimming a bit the plot section. Use Rurouni Kenshin as an example. That series has 28 volumes but the plot is quite smaller as early story arcs are briefly treated in sections like the friends Kenshin earns and rivals. When it comes to reception I recommend using Akudama Drive or X (manga) as examples. In these articles rather than saying "Writer X said something", each paragraph focuses on a different subject like formal letter like, premise, characters, art, finale, etc. The art of Chainsawman could be discussed in a paragraph. Kinda similar to what we did with To Your Eternity. I hope this helps. Happy editing.Tintor2 (talk) 11:40, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
To Your Eternity is being copyedited now so if you are interested we might as well nominate it to GA once it's done. Also, in case you are interested I just have been created two character articles from Akudama. You think you could check the prose of Courier (Akudama Drive) if possible? Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 14:16, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Tintor2: Sure! I may be a little tight on time for the coming weeks, so expect a little delay, but I'll see what I can do. Horsesizedduck (talk) 14:20, 5 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Number of words

[edit]

You can find the number of words of an article through Wikipedia:Prosesize#Installation and removal. :) I think the relevant output is the 'readable prose size'. Urve 13:31, 1 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

To Your Eternity

A Barnstar!
BarnSakura for excellent edits

To Your Eternity became GA :D Thanks for the help. You deserve the award with how many articles you edit. Keep up the good work.

Thanks @Tintor2: I'm having a great time with editing indeed. Always feel free to call on my services! Horsesizedduck (talk) 00:22, 15 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not planning anything now although I tried expanding the old article Darker than Black.Tintor2 (talk) 01:12, 15 July 2021 (UTC) Courier went GA. Thanks for the edits. Are you planning to edit anything?Tintor2 (talk) 18:16, 28 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In the past months I created Hei (Darker than Black). While it is appropiately sourced and has coverage of most aspects of the character, its prose needs some clean up. If you could revise it I would appreciate it. Probably the section that needs the most clean up is characerization and themes due to the commentary provided through analysis. Expanding doi references

[edit]

In case you did not realize, since you're fairly new -- There's an easier and faster way to expand DOI references than invoking the citation bot. If you're using the text editor in Wikipedia, click on Cite in the toolbar, select Cite Journal on the menu that pops up, and put the DOI in the DOI edit box of the infobox that appears and then click the button to the right. The DOI information will automatically be looked up to fill in most of the rest of the infobox.

Apologies if you already knew this -- I realize there are other reasons to invoke the citation bot than just convenience in expanding a DOI. Cheers! --Kent G. Budge (talk) 22:12, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's been long since I saw you. I'm currently planning to bring Jujutsu Kaisen 0 to GA as I think its size and coverage is enough. Feel free to revise like you did with Gojo. Happy holidays.Tintor2 (talk) 13:21, 29 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
