Quaker vs Friend[edit]

Recently, you made a series of changes in Religious Society of Friends, changing most of the instances of "Quaker" to "Friend." In general, changes like this are not made until after some clearness is achieved on the Discussion (Talk) page. The tone of an article normally reflects a major early contributor, or is reached through discussion and compromise on the Talk page. I've waited for several days for you would bring it up, but don't see anything. As such, I'm going to revert back to "Quaker." This in no way invalidates your concern. I am quite interested in seeing why you did make the changes. I look forward to discussions on the Talk page on ways to improve the article. Happy editing! Ted 21:45, 16 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
