Valery Zubov moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Valery Zubov, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 20:47, 2 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nabeel Ahmad (entrepreneur) moved to draftspace

[edit]

Hi. All of the sources cited on Nabeel Ahmad (entrepreneur) are unusable PR pieces. The article itself is not distinguishable from all the other paid articles on young entrepreneurs we get here on Wikipedia, where all the sources happen to be from the Statesman and other bought WP:SPS.

If you are being paid for this article, we ask that you declare it and only submit articles through WP:AFC.

When the PR pieces have been removed and independant, reliable sources put in place, you can click on the button "Submit your draft for review".

Sources

[edit]

Hi, sorry if my previous assumption about the conflict of interest was incorrect, it's just that we get a lot of new paid articles that follow the same format and use the same set of bought sources (Yahoo finance partners, IB Times, Statesmas, Asian Age, etc). It's maybe not surprising that someone who works in PR will have a lot of PR articles about him, but I just couldn't find any coverage on him or any of his companies in independent sources. – Thjarkur (talk) 23:45, 24 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@User:Þjarkur. Thanks, I added the db-g7 to the draft, but I think it may not be in the right line or something. Can you fix that? MistyGraceWhite (talk) 02:15, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Have fixed, the problem was that you needed to open the source editor instead of the Visual Editor to add the tag. – Thjarkur (talk) 09:00, 25 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@ MistyGraceWhite No I am not getting any payments. I have explained to you that I have an instagram account on pageants, and I am one of the few pageant followers of Pakistan. If I got paid, it would have been great. But they have their own PR as you can see with their links. I am a hobbyist and will be till the end. People in Pakistan are happy to read about their beauty queens. And which world are you living in, Pakistan is a very open society. There was Miss Veet Pakistan as well. , learn about that in pakistan. but they were not able to sustain like Miss Pakistan World. Seems like someone has hired you to remove everything about Miss Pakistan world on the net!!! I would suggest you should disclose that information as well. Thank you. On the page of Sonia Ahmed you have removed her as the founder of the pageant industry for Pakistan. Why is that. ? There are no pageants in pakistan, and there is only one pageant that sends contestants of pakistani decent to international pageants. Why are you removing the founder of pageant industry for pakistan. Could you let me know who is the founder then, and who has successfully represented pakistan in international pageants??? you are writing from a very personal agenda of removing everything about the Miss MRs. Pakistan pageant. why are u removing credible sources? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Salut65 (talkcontribs) 03:42, 24 April 2020 (UTC) Salut65 (talk) 05:08, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@ User:Salut65 we do not use unsourced material. On the other hand dont spam links. Read both policies, you will understand the reason behind my edits. MistyGraceWhite (talk) 05:13, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

News from Times of India, DNA India, Tribune Pakistan, The NAtion, The News Pakistan , hindustan times and Dawn are not unreliable. They are not unsourced. None of the links are spam. But you have removed the complete data from Miss Pakistan World. Do you have any clue what pageants are ? Can you see this page - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Femina_Miss_India ? This page is all about Pageants in India.

Can you see their detailed report?

You removed the Miss Earth pageant from the page of Miss Pakistan World, that was all the winners who went to Miss Earth. There are over 150 pageants done by the contestants, yet only that information of Miss Earth was added. No one is hungry to add a lot, as I dont have time to look at links for the other 100 pageants. But you are removing data that is history. How come Miss India is having this data where as Pakistan cannot have the data, even though there were enough links stating that those particular contestants went to the Miss Earth pageant.

You dont have any idea. YOu have not done any research on pageants in wikipedia. Ask me? I can give you the help. Rather than you vandalizing the pages, when you dont have the capacity to learn about pageants and how they work. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_Venezuela https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_Brasil https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Femina_Miss_India https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_Universe https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miss_World

Look at the pages of these national pageant. Miss Pakistan World, Mrs. Pakistan World are national pageants for Pakistan. For almost 18 years, the history of these pageants are reduced by you to just half a page. It seems you targeted all the winners of the pageant, the pageant and the organizer and deleted all the sources as well as nominated all pages for deletion.

Please look at these pages and explain why the writers still have them up. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sof%C3%ADa_Silva_(beauty_pageant_titleholder) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gisela_Bola%C3%B1os https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susana_Duijm https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consuelo_Nouel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ida_Margarita_Pieri https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gladys_Ascanio https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ana_Griselda_Vegas https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olga_Antonetti https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irene_Amelia_Morales_Machado https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes_Revenga

I can give you over 1000 examples of pages on beauty queens. The winners of Miss Pakistan World have more links than any of these beauty queen pages mentioned to you. I dont see you going on a rampage to delete them. It seems no matter how much proof is given to you, you are aiming to delete history of Miss Paksitan, Mrs. Pakistan, Sonia Ahmed, Shanzay Hayat and many others. Salut65 (talk) 06:09, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@ User:Salut65 read my reply in the section above. MistyGraceWhite (talk) 07:38, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@ User:MistyGraceWhite I have read and re-read it thoroughly and again you have removed so many news links from New agencies like The Dawn, Hindustan Times, DNA News, Tribune News, Times of India and many other credible links, that prove that these winners were talked about in the news for all the controversies. You have even not answered to the pages of beauty queens that exist. I will add them here again for your knowledge.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sof%C3%ADa_Silva_(beauty_pageant_titleholder) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gisela_Bola%C3%B1os https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susana_Duijm https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consuelo_Nouel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ida_Margarita_Pieri https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gladys_Ascanio https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ana_Griselda_Vegas https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olga_Antonetti https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irene_Amelia_Morales_Machado https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes_Revenga

and I can send you 1000 more. However, you have not added any deletion on these pages and many others that I can send you, if you are too concerned about the data on wikipedia. As I have mentioned before, seems like you are getting paid only to target Pakistan, where as you are leaving these pages and a 1000 more in wiki untouched. Salut65 (talk) 08:38, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker) Salut65, Accusing someone of paid prejudice is completely out of line and not assuming good faith WP:AGF. I have personally reviewed many of the pages Misty has nominated for deletion and found that nearly all of them are appropriate. Miss Pakistan World is not particularly notable and thus not an appropriate basis for a wikipage about someone. And yes, there is news coverage around these pageants, just as there is coverage of lots of pageants. But announcements of winners or little tidbits about them is WP:ROUTINE and does not denote notability. I would review the requirements of WP:ANYBIO or reach out to WP:BEAUTY who can guide you in the future for what would be considered wikinotable pagent winners. In the meantime, this harassment and accusations need to stop. Sulfurboy (talk) 13:25, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@ User:Sulfurboy The user MistyGraceWhite has accused me of getting paid. Please check on my talk page. I dont have any issues of her nominating the winners of the pageant. But then she needs to target winners of many other pageants as well. However, she seems to be belonging to a conservative background where she is not able to digest the pageants that take place in Muslim countries, so she has accused me of getting paid and has told me to disclose that I am a paid person. So in return I feel she is paid by the conservative fanatics for removing data. She has removed thousands of words from the Miss Pakistan World pageant as well as the organizer. And the way she has done it is where you cannot revert the changes and other writers cannot even see what the actual page looked like.

Also I can send you pageant winners who are on wikipedia, but MistyGraceWhite will not even add a deletion on their pages - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sof%C3%ADa_Silva_(beauty_pageant_titleholder) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gisela_Bola%C3%B1os https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Susana_Duijm https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Consuelo_Nouel https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ida_Margarita_Pieri https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gladys_Ascanio https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ana_Griselda_Vegas https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Olga_Antonetti https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irene_Amelia_Morales_Machado https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes_Revenga

Have a look. MistyGraceWhite is not bothering with any other pageants but Pakistan. With the looks of it, I can tell you one thing that the users main agenda is to bring down the pageant and make it very small, however, if you want to google about Miss Pakistan or Miss Pakistan World, you will see history of 18 years and links that have shown the controversial level of the pageant. The writers who are commenting including yourself dont know Pakistan or Miss Pakistan World and hence for people to just pass a comment is not enough. For you to say that she has done right and that the pageant is not famous enough then you must google it and see the facts for yourself. She has changed the page of Miss Pakistan World and has removed all and almost 50 references out of spite due to the user's conservative background. What the user has done is wrong and must revert back the page of Miss Pakistan World and show the writers who actual care to comment after seeing the page.

And look at the pageant winners links I have added in this talk. click them and check. By the user deleting 50 links with proper references has just proven that the user is upset after getting out of her shell and realizing that this was happening. A lot of fanatical background people dont really focus on entertainment. and you can tell by the user's posts and creation of pages. Anyways, there are other users I am contacting to help out in the article and 18 years of history cannot be wiped out especially when it is covered by Pakistan itself. It is only a matter of time, the user can have her fun for now. Salut65 (talk) 23:45, 24 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination Deletions for many articles that has been reviewed by Official Wikipedians Admins

I dont even know why you nominated all of this pages that has been already reviewed and edited by so many wikipedians admins and users. And all of the articles was using the legitimate informations and WIKIPEDIA:RS reliable sources and indeed till this day there's a lot of Wikipedian that also contriutes on editing the pages. I think this pages below should not be tagged or considered for deletion in accordance. Speedy deletion declined: Johnny Oghuma

[edit]

Hello MistyGraceWhite, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Johnny Oghuma, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: being a member of his country's national parliament indicates significance; consider redirecting to Nigerian National Assembly delegation from Edo if notability is the concern. If you are interested in learning more about how speedy deletion works, I have compiled a list of helpful pages at User:SoWhy/SDA. You can of course also contact me if you have questions. Thank you. The lead seems to contain a typo. Try searching for "Johnson Oghuma" (GNews) and you will find sufficient mentions. Not sure if it's enough to sustain an article but sufficient to pass A7. Regards SoWhy 13:19, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

We do not want to welcome productive editors with a report at UAA, nor do we want to waste our time dealing with accounts that may never be used." The exceptions are obvious hate speech or names that attack a living person/Wikipedia editor, those are blockable even without any edits, but other run-of-the-mill violations such as names of organizations or products need not be reported unless and until they at least attempt to edit, and you should be able to clearly explain what the problem is if it is not immediately evident.

For whatever reason, every day dozens, if not hundreds of accounts are created that never make one single edit. It is our responsibility as admins to conscientiously review every report a user makes at UAA, so we have to check for contribs, deleted contribs, and tripping of the edit filter for every one of these reports, only to find out there's nothing there and therefore no problem to be solved. That's time that could be spent doing more productive things, but you basically obligate admins to do it by making such reports. Beeblebrox (talk) 16:16, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@User:Beeblebrox Mea Culpa, I was not aware of the hassle it will cause. MistyGraceWhite (talk) 16:20, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it happens a lot, that's why I created the template. You've got a number of valid reports in as well, which is great. Beeblebrox (talk) 16:22, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I was just coming here to say the same thing, having just painted UAA green and purple with my sig declining these - good to see that you've got the message already :). Thanks for the good reports you send through, no harm done. GirthSummit (blether) 16:29, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from abusing warning or blocking templates, as you did to User_talk:Wareon. Doing so is a violation of Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please use the user warnings sandbox for any tests you may want to do, or take a look at our introduction page to learn more about contributing to the encyclopedia. Templating over a broader discussion by calling it canvassing is truly disruptive. Wareon (talk) 04:26, 26 May 2020 (UTC) @User:Wareon It was a canvass. Vanamonde called you out too. MistyGraceWhite (talk) 04:46, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Opinions may differ but the discussion clearly concerned a broader issue. Your template abuse was unwarranted. Wareon (talk) 04:49, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@ Wareon opinions on canvass? No they do not differ. You were trying to canvass Indian editors. Got caught. Hence the template. Don't do it again. MistyGraceWhite (talk) 12:15, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
There was no canvassing but a discussion about three articles dealing with the same subject. You got late by 5 days but still pushed your poor understanding of the policy and/or display your battleground mentality by abusing template. This whole thing speaks of your own incompetence.
So if discussing Indian articles on an Indian noticeboard is an attempt to "canvass Indian editors", then if I had posted this on US noticeboard, then it would make my message more neutral? Wareon (talk) 14:48, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Honest question

[edit]

As I defended you earlier about AFD, I stand by my first statement and my last but a way to assuage some concerns would be an open and honest conversation. Have you held any previous accounts or edited significantly before you registered this one? Praxidicae (talk) 19:05, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@User:Praxidicae No this is my first account. I made it a while ago, but in honesty, I did not even know what to do with it, it was just an account. I was reading up on Léon Jongen earlier in the year and found that his article on Wikipedia did not have any of the stuff I had read, so I logged in and started editing. If you check my account, you can see this information in the contributions history. I have recently made an account for my roommate suffering from Covid-19 and he will edit from that account when he gets better, I have mentioned it on my userpage and I will take full responsibility of all edits. MistyGraceWhite (talk) 19:14, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Blocked as a sock. So the statement above is deceptive. BabbaQ (talk) 18:30, 27 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Mubashir Saddique

[edit]

On 7 June 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Mubashir Saddique, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Pakistani amateur chef and vlogger Mubashir Saddique cooks with farm-fresh ingredients, earthenware pots, and a hand-built earthenware oven? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Mubashir Saddique. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Mubashir Saddique), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
