Welcome

[edit]

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Thank you for uploading this media,

However, it would be nice if you could clarify on the image description page, why you feel this image is public domain (adding an appropriate license tag). Adding license information also helps prevent media you've put effort into creating from being deleted :)

You may wish to read Wikipedia:Image_copyright_tags#For_image_creators which will assist you :)

It would also be appreciates if you could add :

 • 1-2 paragraphs explaining what is shown in the image.

As well as helping those categorising the image, it will help place the image in context and allow other users of the image (including academics) to make better use of the image :) Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:13, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Bektashi baba Argyrokastro.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 16:08, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Better source request for File:Bektashi_baba_Argyrokastro.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Bektashi_baba_Argyrokastro.jpg. You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 16:09, 10 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edit war

[edit]

I really dont want to revert your POV all the time. As you dont have sources, dont remove others that are not compatible to your POV. And after all, talk on talk page. I think now that you dont have any real reliable source, and that you follow only that disputed video that can be easily fixed and changed. What do you think? Lets talk! :)--WhiteWriter speaks 19:24, 21 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

February 2011

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Organ theft in Kosovo. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue.

In particular, the three-revert rule states that:

 1. Making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block.
 2. Editors violating the rule will usually be blocked for 24 hours for a first incident.
 3. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording, and content that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. WhiteWriter speaks 22:00, 22 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Idea that may solve the issue

[edit]

I started something that i never done before, but i like it already very, very much. As explained here, i started new draft on Vojsava Tripalda‎‎, with idea to create article, sentence by sentence. As article is quite small, we will easily add part by part, and create one good version that will be the best. Please, say to the talk page will you participate, as i would really give my best to help, compromise and do what ever is needed to finally, after one year of discussion, end this on the best way, friendly and calmly. I will do my best, and i hope that you will do that also. :) All best. --WhiteWriter speaks 22:14, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I invited you to discussion and agreement. Your recent edits are POV to me, but i will not revert it, as i hope that you will participate, as we MUST agree somehow, and that will be only trough discussion. Please, respond to my questions and proposal. --WhiteWriter speaks 15:55, 20 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding Boban Petrovski's view, it is in his paper (summary in French). He says that there is no documentary evidence regarding Vojsava's ethnicity. Your idea is not bad, but if you don't present other sources, I don't think it will be of much use. Majuru (talk) 09:53, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
But we will, my dear friend! Idea was presented like this, as you also can present other sources, and we will all agree on their inclusion in the new article draft. Please, just write your agreement on the talk page, and we can start with fixing the article, step by step. First, only template. Comment it on drafts talkpage. And thank you for your cooperation! We suppose to do this earlier, as this is the best possible way for all of us to agree. --WhiteWriter speaks 11:38, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, you're right. But how can we agree on a draft, if we can't agree on an article? Majuru (talk) 11:46, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Because we will go one by one, and not all at once. :) This source, reliable, yes, no, that's all, inclusion. We can even consult RS/N for each source presented. And as you may see, draft contains only template for now, after all of us agree on template, we will move one, sentence by sentence! :) I will include your name in participants, and please, you write your agreement on the talk page, and then, comment drafts talkpage after you see new article draft. :) Yeee, great idea, i am happy! :) --WhiteWriter speaks 12:04, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No, Majuru, you didn't understood. :) That page you created have to be deleted, as it is located in the article space. Here is new article draft, but you should not write in it yet, as you should just say do you agree with infobox changes. And you will write that here. --WhiteWriter speaks 13:18, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
OK, if you do participate, write your attitude (do you agree with it) toward proposed template here. And please, tell me clearly do you want to work with all of us, and i will give my best to help you wherever needed. --WhiteWriter speaks 12:13, 23 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Vojsava Tripalda/Temp

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Vojsava Tripalda/Temp. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Vojsava Tripalda. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Vojsava Tripalda - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion () tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. noq (talk) 12:51, 21 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Milica Bulatović requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the importance of the subject, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

Problems with upload of File:Enver Hoxha Balcony.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Enver Hoxha Balcony.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, select the appropriate license tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you can't find a suitable license tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Your edits

[edit]

Majuru, I had reverted all of your edits and I'd like you to read the following carefully as I explain why I have done this. It is not meant as an attack or as an edit war, though you need to familiarise yourself with certain codes of practice which predate your time as an editor. In the first place, a source is not required for transcriptions of people's names. If you are aware that a person of Albanian origin has been incorrectly transcribed into Serbian or Serbo-Croat, you are within reason to make the amendments to the correct letters according to how you know the person's name to exist in Serbian/Serbo-Croat. Why do we have this language? The answer is because when an individual is born on a territory where an official language and script exist, that alphabet needs to be used to some capacity. In cases where some people belonging to ethnic minorities are born, their own language may even be forbidden leaving only the official form available. Of course, this is not the case with Albanians from the former Yugoslavia - especially in Kosovo - where they have had linguistic rights given to them by the state and are able to go through life sporting their Albanian language name. Be that as it may, as they were born in Yugoslavia, particularly Serbia, Serbian language documents would never have adopted code-switching for non-Serbian names. Unlike Croatian which in the middle of its text might display, George Bush, the Serbian equivalent is Džordž Buš. By simply being born in Serbia, a Serbo-Croat/Serbian name form exists automatically and this is the practice whether you are born in Greece - with a Greek name; the Arab countries - with an Arabian spelling, Russian, Chienese, etc. and the ethnicity of the individual is irrelevant. On the same note, please be aware that Fatos Bećiraj is notable as he represents Montenegro and that in turn is the reason he has his Montenegrin spelling. If you look at the history of the article, you'll see that it was I who fought to include his Albanian name and often had to battle with users constantly removing it. Note also that it is not just Albanians, all non-Serbs from Serbia have Serbian or Serbo-Croat names, see the Hungarian politicians for example. If Albanians should be excluded - a satisfactory reason needs to be presented as to what sets them apart from Hungarians, Vlachs, Roma, Macedonians, Bosniaks and all other non-Serbs born in Serbia. Then a consensus will have to be reached, and by removing the names as you have done, you are - without knowing - overriding TWO agreements reached with other users in the years before you joined. One is that we avoid Cyrillic and use Serbo-Croat NOT Serbian only for Kosovan subjects born 1946-1989; after the autonomy was taken, it no longer applied as Cyrillic became predominant there. The second is that where it produces information that is not strictly essential, we remove it from the heading and place it in a names-notes section with a link by the headword, such as Pacolli. I hope this makes sense to you, if you'd like to discuss any part of it, please leave me a message and we'll go from there. Thanks. Evlekis (Евлекис) (argue) 17:13, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You've got a fair point. I'll get back to you on it. Evlekis (Евлекис) (argue) 17:10, 15 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ivica Dačić

[edit]

Perhaps you can tell me how to go from here. I do not mind the Albanian spelling of his name in the text and you'll never see me remove the detail; I favour more information rather than less on the whole. Other editors may be the problem. But if we can reach a consensus here it may have long-term influence. As a language, Albanian renders names phonetically and not by the local form so this is the first step towards accepting the Albanian names for non-Albanian subjects. Dačić was born in 1966 when Yugoslavia's republics and autonomous provinces were bound by the 1963 constitution. We need to establish exactly what status Albanian held in Kosovo during this period. Was it the primary language of all official functions within its borders? Did non-Albanians have to speak it? Did all the schools exclusively teach in Albanian first? In other words, was Albanian to Kosovo exactly what Slovene was to SR Slovenia? Or was Albanian merely awarded official status alongside Serbo-Croat for the benefit of the majority? In that case, it wouldn't have applied to non-Albanians. I ask this because I know from experience that after the age of 12, all Kosovan pupils continued their education in Serbo-Croat but I don't know what the situation was before that. Concerning non-Albanians born in Albania, I completely agree with the Albanian name being used in a capacity. For this, it is down to Albanian status. Can you tell me more on it for the time? Evlekis (Евлекис) (argue) 18:49, 15 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I see. Two forms accepted. Anyhow, how do you mean "no consensus" if an editor objects? Evlekis (Евлекис) (argue) 19:43, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
A small compromise would be nice. Majuru (talk) 19:47, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely, I assure you of that. As you can see, your edits have remained in place - I am happy enough with them and nobody has challenged them. Many keep them on their watchlist, especially Dačić and it's been a whole day now. They stand a good chance in my opinion. Evlekis (Евлекис) (argue) 20:40, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Majuru - we need a consensus and this cannot be obtained in the wake of one user rocking the boat by going on an edit spree to remove legitimate name formats. I intend to start a project page to get to the bottom of this situation. On whom do we and do we not include specific language name formats? What are the criteria? By striking Albanians off with their local names pertaining to three lands (Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia) simply on account of their ethnicity calls for the same measures to apply where the subject is Turkish, Hungarian, Romanian, German, Vlach, Roma, Bosniak, Bulgarian, Slovak, Rusyn, Slovene, and others - and then venturing onto external territory and imposing those same values on persons born in China, Russia, Arab lands and the like. As for reporting me, I shall cite the agreements reached in the past with other users to substantiate my edits. Regarding the variant sounds in Albanian - phonological differences have never prevented transcriptions between any languages of this world. Where one language contains a sound not used in another, the target language deploys its closest phoneme to its counterpart in the source language. Had you been careful in your reverts, you may have noticed that with Pepshi you even removed a source which confirmed her name in Serbo-Croat. Evlekis (Евлекис) (argue) 16:47, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate

[edit]
Majuru, I reverted your recent edits regarding Serbian people and their names (adding non-existant [Albanian] names), as they have no basis: Serbo-Croatian/Serbian was/is the official language, and you can't change the birth certificate/passport etc. I doubt that Evlekis understands you, as your two sentences posted at his talk page give no logical explanation ("A small compromise would be nice" - what does that mean?). Your comment "OK, I will insert (Albanian: Ivica Daçiq) at Ivica Dacic's page, because Albanian also was an official language in Kosovo. So he automatically was born with the Albanian form of the name." is just hillarious. But seriously, no. --Zoupan (talk) 12:04, 17 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

ARBMAC

[edit]

In a 2007arbitration case, administrators were given the power to impose discretionary sanctions on any user editingBalkans-related articles in a disruptive way. If you engage in further inappropriate behaviour in this area, you may be placed under sanctions including blocks, a revert limitation or an article/topic ban. Thank you.

It is just some usefull info about ARBMAC, since you have been involved in Montenegro-Albania-Serbian related naming disputes (some examples: 12345678) .Alexikoua (talk) 17:16, 27 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Stop messing up the notes in Battle of Kosovo. The participation of other noblemen is solely mythological, and cannot be backed by contemporary sources, or later ones, for that matter, as already addressed in the talk page. The Annotations section elaborates on this. I have warned you already, and the next time (3rd time officially), I will have to report you.--Zoupan 10:40, 10 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Luftetari etc.

[edit]

The Gjirokastër article needs some expansion in some important sections (Sports, demographic, transport) and I was wondering if you had any good sources for that. Take a look if you would like.--Gaius Claudius Nero (talk) 22:23, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Serbo-Croat names for ethnic Albanians

[edit]

As it stands, individuals who may have more than one name format use their notable name for the article and any alternative forms are included in brackets. All persons born in Yugoslavia primarily have their names in one of the Slavic languages and whether the non-Slavic name even exists is down to the then-government policy towards the language in question. Presenting one's name in a form you dislike does not violate WP:NPOV so your summary claim is false. It is merely content dispute. It is also the staus quo for how names are presented not only for former Yugoslav subjects but for persons throughout the world. People, places and even events can have their titles in as many languages as needed. If you believe that an individual should have his ethnic name only, you need to launch a project or open a discussion on a special page. Please do not "cleanse" every random article you encounter because this is non-constructive. Thank you. Evlekis (Евлекис) (argue) 17:05, 22 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Discussions

[edit]

I would like you and Evlekis to argue out your nomenclature issues on Talk:Shpëtim Hasani instead of constantly reverting each other.

Remember, this is a nomenclature issue. There is no objectively right answer. It's all about names that were invented by humans.

Now, sit down and reach consensus with each other. DS (talk) 15:28, 23 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Los Rebujitos requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I've reported User:Evlekis on ANI regarding a recent case of 5 reverts in less than 24 hours. As I've mentioned you I have to notify you[9] too.--— ZjarriRrethues — talk19:43, 5 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome back

[edit]

I see you've risen from the grave again! How convenient, just when a presentation dispute concerning an ethnic Albanian comes back to surface! It's as if a sixth sense alerts you. Anyhow, I draw your attention to the conversation we were having which you abandoned on 24 March 2012. Of course, you are welcome to return to it, it's still there. ANI

[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Evlekis (Евлекис) (argue) 16:17, 15 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Majuru. It has been proposed that the issues which are currently being discussed at ANI be taken to some form of mediation (MedCom, probably). The other parties have agreed, but we need you to be willing to take part. Would you be able to let us know if you'd consider mediation? Thanks. Formal mediation has been requested

[edit]
The Mediation Committee has received a request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to "Naming conventions of non-Slavic personalities that were born or lived in former Yugoslavia". As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. Mediation is a voluntary process which resolves a dispute over article content by facilitation, consensus-building, and compromise among the involved editors. After reviewing the request page, the formal mediation policy, and the guide to formal mediation, please indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you agree to participate. Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 23 July 2012.

Discussion relating to the mediation request is welcome at the case talk page. Thank you.

Skanderbeg/Kastrioti CoA

[edit]

What do they say? Is any souce backing up the current design of Kastioti's Coat of Arms? You cannot claim it to be the Coat of Arms, as no heraldic study background has been added to back up that exact design (if you add a cite after "Coat of arms of the Kastrioti family", then the source must mention that, if not, add "Improvised" and what the source say, no SYNTH). Has Hodgkinson an illustration? The Graphic labs-image should be altered to comply with the illustrations on Talk:Kastrioti_family#Coat_of_Arms - feel free to add more heraldic illustrations.--Zoupan 17:32, 20 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request for mediation accepted

[edit]
The request for formal mediation of the dispute concerning Former Yugoslavia naming conventions, in which you were listed as a party, has been accepted by the Mediation Committee. The case will be assigned to an active mediator within two weeks, and mediation proceedings should begin shortly thereafter. Proceedings will begin at the case information page, Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Former Yugoslavia naming conventions, so please add this to your watchlist. Formal mediation is governed by the Mediation Committee and its Policy. The Policy, and especially the first two sections of the "Mediation" section, should be read if you have never participated in formal mediation. For a short guide to accepted cases, see the "Accepted requests" section of the Guide to formal mediation. You may also want to familiarise yourself with the internal Procedures of the Committee.

As mediation proceedings begin, be aware that formal mediation can only be successful if every participant approaches discussion in a professional and civil way, and is completely prepared to compromise. Please contact the Committee if anything is unclear.

Mediation

[edit]

Hi Majuru, I noticed that you removed your statement from the mediation page. Do you still wish to participate? You can let me know here, the mediation page, or my talk page - whatever works for you. Keilana|Parlez ici 22:39, 1 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
