About my talk archive

[edit]

Thanks for your message. While removing part of a message from an archive is slightly unorthodox, I decided to remove it upon your request because I felt it would not change the meaning of the message that was sent to me. In the future, please make sure you are not removing other information from a page, as you did here. Also, it would be much better if you asked for people's permission and explained the situation before changing their talk page or talk page archives. Thank you. Afd of Abdul Ahad

[edit]

An {{afd}} tag has been placed on Abdul Ahad, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. All Wikipedians can join the debate at Articles for deletion, where articles asserted to be inappropriate to Wikipedia are discussed. You are encouraged to submit your opinion, and remember that Articles for Deletion debates are not a vote. You can also leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the deletion tag yourself, but don't feel inhibited from editing the article, particularly if doing so makes it clear that it is a useful contribution to an encyclopaedia. → AA (talkcontribs)16:12, 18 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Archives

[edit]

As EWS23 indicated above, it would be preferable if you contacted editors and asked them to blank their talkpage archives rather than modifying them yourself... simply as a courtesy. Regardless, making the comment about why you blanked it in the archives doesn't really do any good, you should inform the editors on their current talkpage of your action. I removed your comment from my archives and replaced your deletion with <courtesy blanked>.--Isotope23 talk 19:05, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

November 2009

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Shelagh Watkins. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. AfD nomination of Shelagh Watkins

[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Shelagh Watkins. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shelagh Watkins (2nd nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:07, 7 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Mandinam Press has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable publisher. No coverage about this publisher in reliable sources.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Whpq (talk) 02:38, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Stories of Strength, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here.
