You're welcome
I like to make sure things are tidy and updated. I've been working on a couple of reports on fossil resources of various national parks for the last few months - very little in the way of dinosaurs, but I accidentally run into other things of interest now and then, like descriptions of Ceratosuchus and Gwyneddosaurus. How have you been? J. Spencer (talk) 02:45, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
Disengaging
I haven't followed the WBFAN issue more than peripherally, but I just saw you comment at Herp's page and I wanted to say that if you really want to disengage, then saying "in an attempt to make themselves feel superior" is a bit barbed. If I read the tone of your message correctly, it probably isn't the best way to achieve what I think you are intending. Guettarda (talk) 04:42, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- I don't know if I'm any good at all. Right now I'm more burned out by crap than I can imagine - and, to top it off, it looks like I may have totally misjudged the last fire I tried to put out, where I advised User:Hrafn to just ignore the provocation. Now ex-User:Hrafn. (I believe he's one of your countryfolk, but I'm not sure.) Guettarda (talk) 06:12, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- I wish it were projects. It's the non-stop attacks of the "ID Cabal" attack-meme/smear. Guettarda (talk) 06:21, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Well, that's the problem - I write because it's fun. I was gone about a month this summer. Anyway, I'm much too stubborn to let people drive me out by attacking me. After all, now that Cas got me hooked on the FA heroin, I need more. :) Guettarda (talk) 06:34, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hmmm, Guettarda and Spawn Man collab...horror...plants...The Day of the Triffids...Little Shop of Horrors..Venus Flytrap...Cheers, Casliber (talk · contribs) 13:36, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
Rusty:
Hey Firs! I'm looking to get back up to full capacity, but I'm afraid I've forgotten almost everything ;P (Well a lot of the administrative side) so would be able to go over with me here a few of the basics again (links, basic nutshell stuff) like prodding, vandalism warnings, notice boards, speedy deletion, afd, etc etc. For example, I'm having trouble with this user, who is adding some good stuff to articles, but doing it in a completely wrong way. Since I've forgotten this side of things, I just warned him and placed a message with links on his talk. What else should I do, and what would've been the best route? Sorry to ask for so much - I'm working on articles for now, so feel free to take your time. Thanks Firs - what have you been up to? I see WPDINO has slowed down a bit... Spawn Man (talk) 05:02, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hey Spawn Man,
- I left a note on your page, but WP:DINO has only slowed down because there are fewer of the most prolific editors working on the project. With Sheep absent and Dinoguy working on other areas, of course things would slow down. J Spencer, though, is still creating and revising nice articles, and I was hoping to submit some GAs this weekend... How did the additions at Diplodocus go? Issue
I did merge after the 7 supports and no opposes after a day and a half, however Dreamguy reverted it saying it was too soon. Probably was. I left it reverted and opened and am awaiting his (and other peoples') comments. Don't worry, I introduced all the material from lycanthrope anyway and started trimming down, so just go ahead adding, referencing and trimming etc. Which books did you get? New messages bar
Hello there. As you've probably noticed, I've removed the fake "new messages" bar from the top of your page. This is because our guideline on simulated interface messages in userpages states that this is generally found to be disruptive, and cases of their use should be removed except when they are used in testing. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, however please do not re-add the bar. Thank you! Happy editing. Hersfold (t/a/c) 22:37, 26 October 2008 (UTC)

In 2009, WikiProject Years developed a essay for the inclusion of events "recent year" articles.
Important policy discussions took place in January 2009 at Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style (dates and numbers) and at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Years.
