Welcome!

Hello The Rogue Penguin, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  ➨ REDVERS 19:55, 10 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Light Finding Operation. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Light Finding Operation. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:06, 15 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Moralorel image.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.

The issue regarding Code Lyoko isn't over aka Clisntover.

[edit]

I suspect this user is a sock puppet of MataNui44. The editing history is ridiculously similar to Mata and Everyman21.--ETLamborghini (talk) 18:38, 21 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

How can you not say that the Code Lyoko Itunes confirmation is good enough evidence? Have you ever tried reading around? Seriously, come the end of 2010, when they are available, you had better not say "Oh my bad" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.185.141.73 (talk) 01:34, 19 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks...

You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:02, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Romanization for words of English origin

[edit]

On the MOS:JP talk page, a discussion has been started about including or not including romanizations for words of English origin, such as Fainaru Fantajī in Final Fantasy (ファイナルファンタジー, Fainaru Fantajī) (for the sake of simplicity, I called this case "words of English origin", more information on semantics here).

Over the course of a month, it has become apparent that both the parties proposing to include or not include those romanizations cannot be convinced by the arguments or guidelines brought up by the other side. Therefore, a compromise is trying to be found that will satisfy both parties. One suggestion on a compromise has been given already, but it has not found unanimous agreement, so additional compromises are encouraged to be suggested.

One universally accepted point was to bring more users from the affected projects in to help achieve consensus, and you were one of those selected in the process.

What this invitation is:

  • You should give feedback on the first suggested compromise and are highly encouraged to provide other solutions.

What this invitation is not:

  • This is not a vote on including or excluding such romanizations.
  • This is not a vote on compromises either.

It would be highly appreciated if you came over to the MOS:JP talk page and helped find a solution. Thank you in advance. Prime Blue (talk) 11:29, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Katara

[edit]

I got your message and I'm not sure it's original research. In the earlier episodes when she really couldn't bend, she spent most of her time running away from people. If she had some hand-to-hand skills then she would at least have use some of them. In another episode where Ty Lee took her bending away, she could still move, but was clearly freaked by not being able to bend. Mai even taunted Katara about having to fight without bending. Also, if you look at all of her battles, she strictly uses waterbending, except in one small sequence where she tried to put together a couple of weak kicks and punches against Pakku. Pakku easily blocked that attack.

Other characters like Aang (the episode where he defeated a school bully without throwing a single punch for example), Zuko (using broadswords in several battles, winning a good number of them) and Azula (her blocking all of Zuko's attacks without firebending in their first battle) all show very good hand-to-hand skills. Katara never shows this in any episode. If you can point to one instance where she does or where the producers says she does, I'll back off my original statement. 70.18.37.237 (talk) 04:22, 8 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Bionicle books indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read!
