Adoption

Sure, I'll be your adopter. I'm on Wikipedia many hours a day, so if you ever have any questions, or want some pointer or ideas of where to start, I'm pretty much always available unless I'm asleep. Useight (talk) 07:17, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Useight is nice. He's my adopter but I don't bother him much now. If he is unavailable, feel free to ask me my opinion or to answer a question. Chergles (talk) 20:26, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

Re: WikiProject Star Wars

Thank you for leaving that note on my talk page. Actually, WikiProject Star Wars has been mostly dormant. The revitalization I attempted to push through didn't get far due to lack of willing volunteers, so I gave up on that several years ago. I'm currently looking into the viability of bringing it back again, now that I seem to have more time on my hands.

You are correct, we do not currently have Assessment guidelines. that is on my to-do list. Until I get them formalized, I have reviewed your article manually. Thanks for bringing that to my attention, and happy editing! Firestorm (talk) 22:24, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

GA review

Hi there Vantine. I've asked people on the GA page to check whether you're review is fair. I hope you don't take this the wrong way; GA reviews can take a while to work out how to do, though they come in all shapes and sizes. I'll be happy to direct you to some helpful materials anyhow: this guide is always helpful, as is a good grasp of the manual of style (though the latter will take you ages to get to grips with given its sheer size/ever-changing state!). Don't be afraid to check up on how other people are reviewing (check the nominations page for those listed with "reviewing"/"on hold" etc). I'm sure your adopter Useight and the people at WT:GAN will be happy to answer any questions. Either way, I'm glad you've jumped in to review something because it's a process fraught with backlogs and we could do with more good reviewers. Take care. Sillyfolkboy (talk) 13:27, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Just to echo Sillyfolkboy said: Don't be afraid to ask questions. Also, take a look reviews done by other experienced editors to see how they handle things. As you get more used to it, reviewing GAs and finding things to improve will become a lot easier. I hope you can stick around long enough to get to that place. Noble Story (talkcontributions) 14:12, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Sorry I'm late, I just woke up. Let me just say that reviewing GAs is a complex and difficult task, which is why there is always a backlog of articles needing review. Hence, we do need more people willing to perform reviews. However, I would advise you, as a new editor, to take it slow and conservatively. I don't see a problem, though, with passing WarioWare: Smooth Moves as GA. It's both written and sourced well and Gary King is an excellent content contributor. I will also echo the above: if you have questions or concerns while reviewing, ask some other more experienced editors their opinion on the matter, and I would add that you side conservatively for now on close calls (i.e., if it is on the border of pass or don't pass, I'd go with don't pass). I think this was a good article (no pun intended) for a new reviewer to start with and that Vantine can become a good addition to the reviewing team. Useight (talk) 16:42, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

I don't see any problems with Warioware, to tell you the truth. It seemed fair to pass it. ResMar 20:45, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Just saying what I think :> ResMar 19:50, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

Deletion

For what reason was the speedy deletion rejected? If it was a good reason, I think we should look into improving the article. It'll be hard because of the lack of resources, but I'm sure that there has to be some available for them to reject the speedy deletion proposal. So waddya' say? Give it a shot at improvement? Thanks and a request

Thanks for signing up at Wikipedia:Peer review/volunteers and for your work doing reviews. It is now just over a year since the last peer review was archived with no repsonse after 14 (or more) days, something we all can be proud of. There is a new Peer review user box to track the backlog (peer reviews at least 4 days old with no substantial response), which can be found here. To include it on your user or talk page, please add {{Wikipedia:Peer review/PRbox}} . Thanks again, and keep up the good work, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 03:24, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your offer of help! It seems that we have decided to begin a focus on Planescape: Torment first, and some commentary has been posted on the article's talk page. Naturally, you can work on that, or anything in the D&D video games category. BOZ (talk) 03:19, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

RE: Rock Band

My answer is to re-activate the review process mainly since I don't want this to happen to me for the third time. Before this, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door almost got lost its new A-class rating I got from the same process. So I'm surporting this. Is there someway I can help with re-booting the WPVG's review process? GamerPro64 (talk) 03:32, 27 February 2009 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (File:RenegadeBundle.jpg)

Thanks for uploading File:RenegadeBundle.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:13, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Hey there! In case you haven't seen, Planescape: Torment has been nominated as a Good Article, and the review has been placed on hold; some issues need to be resolved, so have a look at the review page and discuss the issues and let's get to work! BOZ (talk) 20:46, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

Your Fix Request

I fixed the table spacing (an inevitable problem when you're dealing with web tables) by replacing it with the {{Hide}}. This time around, tyhe problem is that you can't add an "edit" utility, for reasons unfathomable it blanks the whole thing. To fix that, you'll have to put the following code in the tranlucated page:{| table...etc|}<br>[Page URl&action=edit] As it's your stuff, I don't feel that I should be editing it. I'll fix the other tihing, give me a moment. You should see this. ResMar 20:22, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Patapon

Feel free to work on this article - I had happened across a sales number (very important for any VG article) and added it, but I see there's also some developer information out there to help flesh it out. It shouldn't be too hard to expand. --MASEM (t) 19:37, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Barnstar!

The Editor's Barnstar
For your truly outstanding work on Star Wars: Battlefront: Renegade Squadron since it had {{Copy to gaming wiki}} on it in this edit, I hereby award you this barnstar. I guess that the phrase "Potential, not just current state" is accurate after all! –Drilnoth (TC) 19:39, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

VGReviews

Hello! I'm not entirely sure on the process of adding sites to the VGreview template (if there's a criterion for inclusion etc). I'd say you'd be better off asking S@bre, he'll know more about it than me! =) Thanks! Fin© 09:49, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

I personally have no problem with adding those to VG Reviews, but unilateral action on that template tends to be frowned upon due to the amount of random unreliable sources added by new editors and IPs. I'd recommend suggesting it on the talk page, asking if there's any opposition to adding them. Given they're already listed as reliable sources, there shouldn't be any opposition. -- Sabre (talk) 15:09, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Thanks a million for your thorough review. I believe I've addressed all your concerns you listed on the FAC page. --Der Wohltempierte Fuchs (talk) 13:26, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Ultima Underworld peer review

Hey, saw that you were listed on the peer review volunteers page. If you don't mind, could you take a look at the peer review I have going for Ultima Underworld? I'm trying to get it up to FA standards, so any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. JimmyBlackwing (talk) 22:42, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for File:MKJSBox.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:MKJSBox.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 14:02, 18 March 2009 (UTC)
