From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hi Varnav, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for your contributions to the coolest online encyclopedia I know of =). I sure hope you stick around; we're always in need of more people to create new articles and improve the ones we already have. You'll probably find it easiest to start with a tutorial of how the wikipedia works, and you can test stuff for yourself in the sandbox. When you're contributing, you'll probably find the manual of style to be helpful, and you'll also want to remember a couple important guidelines. First, write from a neutral point of view, second, be bold in editing pages, and third, use wikiquette. Those are probably the most important ones, and you can take a look at some others at the policies and guidelines page. You might also be interested in how to write a great article and possibly adding some images to your articles.

Be sure to get involved in the community – you can contact me at my talk page if you have any questions, and you can check out the village pump, where lots of wikipedians hang out and discuss things. If you're looking for something to do, check out the community portal. And whenever you ask a question or post something on a talk page, be sure to sign your name by typing ~~~~.

Again, welcome! It's great to have you. Happy editing! --Spangineer (háblame) 18:33, Jun 13, 2005 (UTC)

Schnauzer photo

[edit]

Image:Standard schnauzer.jpg is a nice photo, even if it's not of the complete dog. I added the "public domain" license text to the image, since you're the photographer and you didn't state any other info about its licensing or copyright. If that's not what you want, you might want to use {{GFDL}} (see GFDL)--that's what I have used for all of my dog photos. Thanks! Elf | Talk 00:54, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Mts logo.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Mts logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 17:15, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Res price msk.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by STBotI. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 10:36, 8 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

July 2008

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to ITunes appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe our core policies. Thank you. Without specifics, you cannot randomly add advert tags to a page against consensus. KelleyCook (talk) 13:03, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Advert tag was added according to discussion. --Varnav (talk) 15:25, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Stop adding the advert tag. The article may be crap but it is clearly not an advert. Please read Wikipedia policy before you end up getting blocked for trolling. AlistairMcMillan (talk) 19:05, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with you regarding itunes and related articles. I also experienced watchdog-like edits/reverts. please let me know if you need help.--BBird (talk) 21:19, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The article NanoZip has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not appear notable; no reliable sources, and I cannot find any

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  Chzz  ►  20:35, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Baskevskaya maslenica

[edit]

Privet! Menya zablokirovali v ruwiki i ya ne mogu nichego sdelat so statyoy. Ya teper tozhe hochu yeyo snesti.

I have nominated NanoZip, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/NanoZip. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message.  Chzz  ►  04:06, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
