Hi. When you recently edited Cochin Fast Patrol Vessels, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Rolls-Royce (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). I see that you add references as part of "External Links". That is absolutely fine, but it is better to add inline citations, as they are more easy to access. I have included a step-by-step how-t0-do below. Hope that helps! Thanks, and keep up the great work you are doing here! :) Anir1uph | talk | contrib 11:14, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Adding reference to Wikipedia articles

[edit]
Just follow the steps 1, 2 and 3 as shown and fill in the details

Hello Vyas1975! Please do not forget to add references from reliable sources for the content you add to Wikipedia. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Adding a well formatted references is very easy to do.

  1. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it
  2. Then click on "templates",
  3. Choose the most appropriate template and fill as many details as you can,

This will add a well formatted reference that would be helpful in case the website link (web URL) becomes inactive (dead/link rot) after some time. You can read more about it on Help:Edit toolbar or see this video File:RefTools.ogv. thanks and regards --Anir1uph | talk | contrib 11:12, 13 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Vyas,
I'm Mrt3366 and I would first like to start this conversation by expressing, with gusto, my admiration for the steadiness of your contribution. I bring to your attention this article which you created and then forgot to add inline citations to. There are more articles which you created and then didn't add an adequate number of reliable sources. Please read, if you haven't already, what are our status quo on unsourced content and verifiability. Besides these you might find a guide to writing better articles interesting. The crucial part of creating an article is citing good sources. Even if you think you know something, you have to provide references anyway to prove to the reader that the fact is true. Keep in mind, material that seems to naturally stem from sourced claims might not have been actually claimed. In searching for good references to cite, you might even learn something new.

Having said that, I don't expect you to remember every article you've created, hence don't worry too much about it, they will be sorted in way or another. But, when you create any article, and I yearn that you do, do it keeping in mind the guidelines on original research. I hope this helps. Mr T(Talk?) (New thread?) 07:10, 24 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have made the following changes to Bharati class interceptor boat. I hope you go through these changes, and start incorporating them in your regular editing, and in other pages created by you in the past, so I would not have to go through them myself. Things like where to keep spaces and use capital letters (KW -> kW etc), proper section headings and filling in references. Its a great start. Thanks! If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mandovi Marine requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Request reason:

user rameshvyas was unblocked by mistake while i was reading the profile, hereby i again reiterate I am not a sock puppet, and had worked independently since last two years. Here i would like to mention that by blocking a specialist editor of defense related article (who have created more than 100 article) , wiki org will loose a major contributor in an environment where the user base is already shrinking. The contribution made by the user was as per the "Knowledge is free" principle for the benefit of the man kind. A novice administrator should not block indefinitely any major contributor without applying any mind

Decline reason:

To be honest, I fail to see how any of this addresses any of the evidence that led to the sockpuppetry block: similar areas of interest, similar username, similar grammar/style, and this (which was probably not the best idea). Free advice: insulting the blocking administrator doesn't really achieve anything. Kinu t/c 08:19, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please unblock, the penalty period should have some limit it should not be unlimited. I again reiterate I am not a sock puppet. The surname/caste "Vyas" is a very abundant in this part of the world (ie In India) just like "Chang" in case of china. As far grammar is concern one must know India have a very standardized school syllabus. It have just one public (Central Government Organization) English medium board for the entire country, which deals with only British English. Even professional school teachers have to under go a course (B.Ed) which is controlled by a single institute. Further to note there is a lapse or gap of time in active period of both persons.

Proposed deletion of Akashdeep Aerostat

[edit]

The article Akashdeep Aerostat has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Advertisement for product that does not yet exist. Speculative. An orphan stub.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
