[edit]

Please do not just start an article in the main namespace when you have the same article in the draft namespace. Please see Wikipedia:Drafts for the process as it will involve moving the article, and importantly its history, into the main namespace. I have deleted the article that you copy and pasted, so you should be able to have the draft stepped through the process. Thanks. — billinghurst sDrewth 23:35, 4 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Hee Loy Sian, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Elizabeth Wong (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

A tag has been placed on Abdul Ghafar Atan requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

As far as I can see, this is simply the content of Ismail Othman with the name changed

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Hi there! Please put relevant wikiprojects on the talk pages of articles you create. You can just copy them over from another article about a Malaysian politician. It doesn't take much time, but it helps to make sure that the articles you create are listed under appropriate wikiprojects for improvement. Thank you! Hello, PutraOsakaTokyo

Thank you for creating Yakubah Khan.

User:Umakant Bhalerao, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

The article is well written and organised. Just a few things that you need to take care while adding references, the links should be relevant to the topic discussed. I see you have also included 2018's election results in the article, while he contested for 2020 election and was elected in 2020. Avoid inserting the same link multiple times and follow the steps as outlined on WP:REFNAME if you want to use the same source multiple times. Furthermore, you have kept the title as "Yakubah Khan" but mentioned "Yakub Khan" everywhere else which i think is his correct name as "Yakubah Khan" sounds like a female name. Although most of the articles say "Yakubah Khan", Ref no. 4 & 5 still have his name as "Yakub Khan". Which one you think is correct?

Your edits to Malaysian politicians' Wikipedia pages

[edit]

Hi! I'd like to discuss your edits on Malaysian politicians' Wikipedia pages. Many of them are inconsistent with one another. For example, on Anwar Ibrahim, you included "Factions represented in the Dewan Rakyat" in the infobox, but have it as a separate (additional) infobox on Najib Razak.

Furthermore, you have also "simplified" parts of the infobox of politicians who were/are ministers and in doing so reduced users are no longer able to see who preceded and succeeded them.

I would like to know why you have made these edits and your justifications for them, as they not only seem unnecessary but also go against an accepted format. Sisuvia (talk) 03:59, 10 September 2021 (UTC) @Sisuvia: I also noticed that in some MP's page, I think the best solution is to restore previous edit since this user do not provide any reason to defend his action. angys (Talk Talk) 08:14, 8 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Asartea Talk | Contribs 13:27, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Results of the 2021 Malacca state election. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – 2021_Malacca_state_election. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at 2021_Malacca_state_election. If you have new information to add, you might want to discuss it at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. EditQwerty (talk) 22:42, 7 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

November 2021

[edit]

Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Mohamad Ali Mohamad, you may be blocked from editing. PLEASE, in all these articles where you are deleting content, explain what you are doing. This complete lack of explanation is quite disruptive. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 02:14, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, I am not kidding. This is a collaborative project and you need to explain what you are doing. Drmies (talk) 02:39, 8 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Indefinite partial block from the main article space

[edit]

PutraOsakaTokyo, on Sept 2021, Sisuvia raised some concerns with you (echoed in Oct by *angys*), but you did not respond. Maybe you don't know that this talk page exists. This block from the main article space is intended to get your attention. Since the problems these editors brought up seem to persist, you now must respond if you are to retain your editing privileges. I've refactored the discussion below. Please feel free to WP:PING me here if you have any questions. Regards, El_C 05:01, 18 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Sisuvia (talk) 03:59, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Sisuvia: I also noticed that in some MP's page, I think the best solution is to restore previous edit since this user do not provide any reason to defend his action. angys (Talk Talk) 08:14, 8 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I fully agree. Lim Zhi Hang (talk) 05:07, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@*angys* Since you align your stance with me, I hope that you can help to restore the pages before his edits. I am working hard to do so and it needs time as @PutraOsakaTokyo did these unnecessary edits on most of the pages of Malaysian politicians. It requires much time to do so. I hope for you understanding and to join me in this efforts, thank you! Lim Zhi Hang (talk) 13:37, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
