The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. Recent page moves

- @Bakazaka: Since the Japanese naming systems usually has their surnames as their first and their first names as last, I wanted to create a redirect for their names in the Japanese orders because some of the Japanese names were used in Western order while the old Japanese articles has the Japanese naming systems and AKB48 members and including the former members, (such as Atsuko Maeda), has a redirect for as their own Japanese name (like Atsuko's name as Maeda Atsuko).
- I thought that might be the case. It's a good idea to create redirects. I also create them for Japanese names when I write new articles. But you don't need to move pages to create a redirect. All you have to do is create a new page with the content
#REDIRECT [[target page name here]]. See [1] for an example of a redirect from Kato Rena to Rena Kato. Moving pages to create a redirect puts the resulting redirect into a special category indicating that it was the result of a page move, which usually means that there is some discussion-related or policy-related reason why the move occurred. If that's not the case, I recommend creating the redirect without moving the pages around, and leaving an edit summary like "created Japanese name order redirect" to clarify what's going on for other editors.
