My source for this list, and for its division into three types, is the HESA founding members list. - htonl 01:27, 30 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't a list of SA universities also include Monash and the like?PurpleDuke 20:31, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Monash yes, definitely. Are there any others that are actual proper universities? - htonl (talk) 15:28, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think St Augustine College would qualify, but I'm not completely sure. As for others I'd have to check. PurpleDuke 18:16, 26 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I added Monash university under Traditional Universities as I believe it would be the most appropriate group. Alternatively a separate group for foreign universities with a SA campus could be created. St Augustine College is not an independant university see http://www.staugustine.ac.za/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=13&Itemid=42Purple Duke (talk) 12:19, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Traditional and Comprehensive

[edit]

What is the defining difference between "traditional" and "comprehensive" universities? Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 14:44, 12 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
